April 24th, 2015
Dear Parents,
The weather is getting warm and the days are getting longer, which means that concert season is upon us. All of the groups have been working very hard preparing for the concert and are eagerly waiting to share their talents with you and your entire family. I want to take this opportunity to give you information regarding the Fine Arts Festival and the Spring Concert. All spring concerts are graded assignments for Band & Orchestra class.Professional/Township sporting events, dance class, scouts, etc. are inexcusable reasons for missing a concert. Any student that misses for an excusable absence, including family emergency, illness, or religious obligation will be given a make-up assignment. Please contact me if you have a question/concern.

With the concerts approaching fast, ask your child for a preview performance. Your child should be practicing their concert music at home. We have a saying in class “Great musicians don’t practice until they get it right, they practice until they can’t get it wrong!” If they know that music is something you care about, then they will make an effort to make it important and succeed in the process.
Thank you again for all of your support. Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns.
Musically Yours,
Ms. Lenox
