Guest Presenter:

Brad Davis presented on CCRPI. Explained how CCRPI was calculated and broken down. Dr. Glymph added to the presentation that Centennial does have programs they are implementing to help students that fall in the at-risk group: why try, AVID, AOK programs.

RFF Discussions:

Update on RFF process: Mrs. Crumbley spoke on the change of process and feedback from the county and Dr. Anderson. The policy of ELL across the state needs to be re-visited. As it is set now, not all ELL learners can graduate in 4 years due to the number of ELL course requirements for limited English proficiency. Study Skills RFF: Administration will be developing a seat time waiver for students doing PLATO recovery so they can get credit for Study Skills elective, as well.

Honors History (presented by Chad Hoge). We will have honors history for next school year. Utilize as a pre-AP type course that can get students ready for more rigorous classes. On-level class can be focused purely on mastery of standards. Students excelling can be moved in real-time to honors History course.

Mrs. Truax inquired about where things stand in regards to the Math RFF. Is there an alternative? Looking at blocking math and math support with the same teacher.Making it more a math study skills.

Graduation Rate RFF feedback, the county cannot waive these requirements.

Strategic Plan

Ms. Crumbley discussed the strategic plan and proposed changes. We need to start weaving in IB since we are looking at incorporating the IB program in the future. We are using an AP potential tool to identify rising 10th/11th graders. Mrs. Miley motioned to approve the updated strategic plan, Mrs. Taylor seconded. Unanimously approved.

Seed Fund:

About $100,000 will be given to schools. Preliminary idea: extending the learning commons out to the computer labs. A math STEM lab was also preliminary idea.

Reminders from Mrs. Crumbley:

GHP numbers have been increased. We have 48 students from Centennial that will be interviewing today.

Haynes Bridge is applying to go for Cohort 1 for one-to-one technology. Centennial will be applying as well to be part of Cohort 1 for one-to-one technology.
