Introduction
We are writing you concerning a sponsorship opportunity with the Frank Callen Boys & Girls Clubs of Savannah’s celebration of 100 years of serving the youth of our community.
Established in 1917 by Mr. Frank Callen, a local probation officer, the Club has been serving Savannah’s youth by providing daily after school, athletic programs and all day summer programs for children 5 – 18 years of age. Our objective is to provide a safe place for the children in our community to learn and grow in a positive environment.
At a glance, the Frank Callen Boys and Girls Clubs provides the following for the children we serve:
• Non-school hours surrounded by caring adults, and engaged in enriching activities
• Access to an array of academic success, civic and social engagement, as well as, healthy lifestyle programs to include competitive athletic programs.
• All of our children receive a hot meal each day after school and lunch each day during our summer program.
90% of the Frank Callen Boys & Girls Clubs youth are on grade level. 98% are expected to complete high school, and 98% of all high school graduates are expected to enroll in a post-secondary program at a college, university or technical college level for further educational career opportunities.
Our stated mission is to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. So, with the many successes we have experienced over the years, we hope to continue to provide the services to the youth of our community. Thus, ensuring continued success and positive growth of our children.
Your organization’s support of our Centennial Gala on November 10, 2017, will enhance our ability to continue providing services necessary for guaranteeing the growth and productivity of our youth. Our mission is to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.
The facts about Savannah’s children:
• 33% of Savannah’s children live in poverty
• Kids who live in poverty are more likely to drop out of high school
• They are more likely to get involved with drugs, alcohol, gangs & crime
• 80% of Georgia’s prison population is made up of high school dropouts
• Gang/crime related violence is on the rise in Savannah
We can change those statistics and offer a bright future for our children.
We provide our children with developmental activities and services. Our mainstay programming is focused on academic success, sports and fitness, character and leadership training and healthy lifestyles.
Our programs work:
• 97% of our kids are On Grade Level
• 98% are expected to complete high school
• 90% intend/expect to go on to college
With these successes our children are less likely to end up on the streets and involved in criminal activity and more likely to become productive citizens of Savannah.
Each year, we work with more than 1,000 children from disadvantaged economic, social and family circumstances. We only charge a mere $15annual fee, but it costs us $750+ per child per year to provide our services.

Our Events
Frank Callen Boys & Girls Clubs organizes community events to (1) encourage participation in the Club and (2) to fund the crucial services that the Club provides to Savannah’s most in need children.
Our events can only take place with the strong participation and support of our sponsors. The successes of these events are largely credited to our prospective sponsors and investors, like you, who lend their name and financial support for our kids.

Trade Center / We will close out our 100th Year of Service Celebration with a special black-tie gala dinner. We are securing, Ms. Jackie Joyner, Kersee as our fantastic guest of honor. We will also feature the incredible Teddy Adams honoring the historic music of Johnny Mercer and Duke Ellington. Along with our guest of honor & amazing music, we will have great food & drinks. We will have some incredible raffles and awards to our Club VIPs.
