BUD ANDERSON: RHP, 1982-1983 with the Indians. Won 4 games and collected seven saves over his big league career. Also gave up Carl Yastrzemski’s last hit.

RON DIORIO: An All-American pitcher with the University of New Haven, he was a sidearm throwing reliever with the Phillies in the early 70’s. A teammate of Hall of Famers Steve Carlton and Mike Schmidt, he had a career best 2.37 ERA in 1973. He is currently a college basketball official in the Northeast.

DAVE FLEMING: LHP, 1991-1995, primarily with the Mariners. Was voted the

Mariners pitcher of the year in 1997, when he won 17 games and

finished 3rd on the Rookie of the Year ballot. Voted to the TOPPS

1992 All-Star team. Pitched in and won the last game of Nolan

Ryan’s career. A member of the 1990 Georgia Bulldogs National

Championship Team.

ROGER

LAFRANCOIS: C, 1982, with the Red Sox. Currently the coach with the independent league Worcester Tornados.

JOE LAHOUD: OF-DH from 1968 to 1978 primarily with the Red Sox, he hit 65 career home runs and appeared in one LCS. He hit 39 home runs from 1971 to 1974 and once hit three in a game for the Red Sox in 1969.

DAVE LAPOINT: LHP, played 12 seasons in the big leagues. Career statistics include a 4.02 ERA and 80 wins, including winning 12 or more three times. A member of the 1982 World Champion St. Louis Cardinals.

BILL LEE: LHP from 1969 to 1982 with the Red Sox and Expos, his career totals include 119 wins and a 3.62 ERA. He appeared in one LCS and one WS. A 1973 All-Star selection, he won 17 games three straight seasons for Boston (1973-75) and 16 for the Expos in 1979. Inducted into the Red Sox Hall of Fame in 2008.

TED LEPCIO: Lepcio was a utility man for ten ML season with the Red Sox,

Tigers, Phillies, White Sox, and Twins.

STEVE ROGERS RHP from 1973 to 1985 with the Montreal Expos, his career totals

include 2,839 innings pitched, 158 wins and a 3.17 ERA. The

winningest pitcher in Expos history, he cracked double figures in

wins in 10 of his first 11 ML seasons and was a five-time NL All-Star selection. He led the NL in ERA in 1982 while winning a career high 19 games. Currently Serves as a Special Assistant with the Major League Baseball Players Association.

MIKE

STENHOUSE: OF, 1982-1986, primarily with the Expos. An All Ivy League

player at Harford he was an All American in 1977 along with Kirk

Gibson Hubie Brooks and Bob Horner. Went on to broadcast

with the Pawtucket Red Sox and the Montreal Expos.

BOBBY TAYLOR: OF, 1970 with the San Francisco Giants. Went on to play three years in Japan.

GEORGE

YANKOWSKI: A catcher in 1942 and from 1946 to 1949 with the Phillies and Chicago White Sox. From 1943 to 1945, he served in the US Army where he won a Bronze Star and participated in the “Battle of the Bulge.”
