CEDI 2016 Trading Partner Recertification
The 2016 CEDI Trading Partner Recertification will come to a close on December 30, 2016. Beginning the week of January 3rd 2017, we will suspend any Trading Partners who have not submitted their Recertification. We are sending direct email notices to only those Trading Partners who have not recertified.
Changes to the “RPT” Files
Effective with the January 2017 quarterly release, the DME MACs will discontinue creating three of the reports included in the DME MAC Front-End Report (“RPT” file) delivered by CEDI to Trading Partners.
The “RPT” file is a set of reports that provide specific information for each claim accepted by CEDI and received by the DME MAC. The reports included in the RPT file are:
Report 7I6001 – Submitter Reports Cover Page
Report 7I6002 – Received Claims Listing
Report 7I6004 – Submission Summary
Report 7I6006 – CMN Reject Listing
The DME MACs are discontinuing the first three reports listed above (7I6001, 7I6002 and 7I6004). The CMN Reject Listing (7I6004) will continue to be produced by the DME MACs and returned by CEDI in the “RPT” file.
Additionally, the “HICN” field label on the CMN Reject Listing report will be changed to “MBI/HICN”. The field will continue to display the beneficiary’s Medicare HIC Number until further notice.
All changes will begin with the reports generated from the DME MACs 01/03/17 system cycle – including claims accepted through the CEDI front end system after 3:00 PM ET on 12/30/16 through 5:00 PM ET on Tuesday 01/03/17.
We will post a sample report on the CEDI website.
Reminder – CEDI Enrollment Forms Must Be Completed by the Supplier
CEDI can only accept and process CEDI Enrollment Forms, the CEDI ERA Enrollment Forms and the Supplier Authorization Forms that have been signed by the individual who is an authorized and/or delegated official of the supplier as the supplier is enrolled in PECOS.
Third parties such as clearinghouses, billing services and software vendors cannot complete and submit the forms on behalf of a supplier.
