2. Minutes of the meeting held on 16 March 2011

There being no comments or amendments, the Convener moved that they be accepted as a true record.

3. Matters arising

There were no matters arising not otherwise catered for in the agenda.

4. Presentation from CCPS Director on Providers & Personalisation: a programme of support for providers

AGL gave a short presentation on the new CCPS programme of work and highlighted the fact that this work would have a wider remit than the CCPS member organisations and was designed to support all voluntary sector providers. She encouraged everyone to sign up to the programme using the sheet provided. 5. CCPS membership update

Since the last membership meeting Brothers of Charity Services Scotland have resigned membership of CCPS this year due to constrained resources. They indicated that they may be able to take up membership at some point in the future if their resources permitted.

6. CCPS representation on working groups/committees

1 new group:

·  National Reference Group for Older People’s Care– represented by Annie Gunner Logan of CCPS

1 group removed:

·  Reference Group on New Scrutiny Bodies – as it has completed its work

1 Care Commission/SSSC Group

3 groups removed, as group disbanded and/or CCPS representation no longer appropriate:

New advisory group to be set up by Audit Scotland to assist its performance audit ofSocial Care Commissioning – AGL will represent CCPS on the group.

8. Date of next meeting

The next meeting, which will include the CCPS AGM, will take place on 15 September at the Norton Park Conference Centre, Albion Road, Edinburgh.

Health and Social Care Integration

Greame Dickson, Director of Health and Social Care Integration in the Scottish Government, outlined the new government’s developing plans for health and social care integration, and answered questions from CCPS members. He also briefed members on developments in Highland and other IRF (Integrated Resource Framework) pilots. Social Care and Social Work Improvement Scotland

Jacquie Roberts, Interim SCSWIS Chief Executive brought members up to date with key strategic developments within SCSWIS, outlined the future agenda for regulation and scrutiny and answered questions from CCPS members. Employment Conditions in the Scottish Social Care Voluntary Sector Impact of public funding constraints in the context of economic recession

Dr Ian Cunningham, University of Strathclyde, author of the recent research report commissioned by the CCPS-hosted Workforce Unit, outlined the key findings and invited discussion from CCPS members.
