Cato Insurance Group, Inc.

Jeff Cato has been a committed supporter of the Leadership Broward Foundation since he went through Class XXIX in 2010. Cato, a leader among leaders in his class, was voted by his peers to serve as the Class XXIX representative to the Foundation’s Board of Directors.

Since then, Cato has served in multiple leadership positions. He stepped up as VP of Events for three years overseeing three Fun Lunch events, including co-chairing one, three Profiles in Excellence galas, co-chairing two, as well as multiple other luncheon and breakfast events. He also served on the Communications Committee and served on the committee for Class XXX’s Cultural Arts and Recreation Day. Cato now serves as VP of Engagement, managing a committee responsible for implementing multiple alumni events, ranging from Eye Opener Breakfasts and Leadership Luncheons to the People Book Party and Trivia Night.

Cato’s volunteerism spans beyond the Leadership Broward Foundation, however. A member of the Gilda’s Club Board of Directors since 2011, Cato has co-chaired three major fundraising events for the organization. He currently serves on the Gilda’s Club executive committee as secretary. Cato also has volunteered and supports Covenant House Florida and its Night of Broadway Stars signature event and is a member of Take Stock in Children’s Honor Roll.

Professionally, Cato owns and operates a successful Allstate agency in Coral Springs. He purchased his first agency in 2010 and then purchased and merged three additional agencies over the next 12 months. Following in the footsteps of his father, an insurance executive who trained him in the business, Cato has received numerous Allstate accolades including Honor Ring, National Conference and Circle of Champions.

Cato, a third-generation Floridian born and raised in Plantation, holds a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in Political Science with a minor in Business from the University of Florida. He currently resides in Boca Raton with his fiancé Bob Tentschert and their two puppies, Cole and Rosie.
