1 Sidewalk Counselor & Prayer Partner Training in English and Spanish: 8:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 3030 Gus Thomason Rd., Dallas 75228, in the Parish Hall. How can you save an innocent life? Come learn the Msgr. Philip Reilly method of peaceful, prayerful presence which has helped more than 22,000 mothers turn away from abortion in New York and over 6,000 mothers here in Dallas. If you feel called to be a prayer partner for a sidewalk counselor, then this training is also for you! All Parish Pro-Life Coordinators are invited to attend, but especially those that have taken office within the last year. This will be an opportunity to learn in an “up close and personal” way about all of the ministries and events of the Catholic Pro-Life Committee and how you can be most effective in bringing the message of life to your own parish. 7 First Friday All-Night Adoration in prayer for the advancement of the culture of life will be held at the Discalced Carmelite Monastery, 600 Flowers Ave., Dallas, located off of Jefferson Blvd. Security will be there throughout the night. Come as early as 4:00 p.m. Latin Mass will be held at 8:00 p.m. Friday and 3:00 a.m. Saturday. Adoration ends just before the 7:00 a.m. Saturday Mass. These prayer vigils are held every first Friday of the month. The Cloistered Carmelites will also be praying all night. You may leave your personal prayer requests with them. 8-9 23rd Annual National Night of Prayer for Life: Encouraging Eucharistic Adoration from 9:00 p.m. - 1:00 a.m., to span the Feasts of the Immaculate Conception and Our Lady of Guadalupe’s first apparition to St. Juan Diego. During the 11:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m. hour, parishes in all times zones in the United States will be praying together in the “hour of unity. Current participating parishes include Mary Immaculate, Farmers Branch; Mater Dei, Irving; St. Monica, Dallas; St. Joseph, Richardson; St. Jude, Allen; and St. Philip, Dallas. The YFL Leadership Council is a group of adults interested in planning and chaperoning youth pro-life events throughout the year. We meet monthly, usually on the 2nd Tuesday, to stay informed about pro-life current events and strategize on how to engage today’s youth in the fight to end abortion.
