STANDARDS

Initial Advertisement

·  The advertisement will have given information on the job, hours of work, typical gross pay (expressed annually or weekly as appropriate), skills and experience required.

·  It will also have told you where to obtain an application form, further details and the closing date for application.

Application Request

·  We will endeavour to ensure you receive your application form within 3 working days of receipt of request.

·  You will receive a pack containing details about the vacancy, a job description and person specification, and sufficient information to allow you to decide whether to proceed further with your application.

Unsuccessful Applications

·  The covering letter sent with your application pack will advise on the policy to be adopted if you are not called for interview. If you would like feedback as to why you were unsuccessful please do contact us again.

Changes in Circumstances

·  Although interview dates, etc. will be planned in advance there will be occasions beyond anyone’s control when these will have to be altered. Where this affects your application we will guarantee to keep you informed as soon as changes occur.

Interviews

·  Interviews will normally be held within 15 working days of the closing date for applications.

·  If you are shortlisted, as much notice as possible will be given. However, this should be at least 4 working days before the interview unless stated otherwise.

·  Please inform us when confirming your attendance to interview of any special arrangements we need to make to enable you to be comfortable during the interview.

·  If you are unsuccessful after interview, wherever possible, you will be advised within two working days. Where this is not possible we will inform you either orally within 5 working days of the interview or, in writing, within 7 working days.

·  If you are unsuccessful at interview you will be offered the opportunity of feedback as to why you were unsuccessful.

·  Complete your application form and any other documentation as speedily and accurately as possible.

·  Advise us if you require any special facilities to enable you to attend the interview.

·  Advise us of any material change in your circumstances such as change of address, withdrawal of your application or your unavailability for interview.

·  Advise of ways in which you feel that the process can be improved.

If we are unable to answer your questions immediately then we guarantee to respond within 2 weeks.

Monitoring the Process

We monitor the success of our Recruitment and Selection process. Part of this may involve contacting you to ask your opinion of the process itself, the quality of the material provided, and suggestions for improving the service we offer.
