Financial Reporting Specialist

Reports to Financial Reporting Manager. Assists with the preparation of quarterly reviews for MassHousing and Affiliates. Coordinates annual audits including draft report preparation. Prepares financial statements for corporate cost centers and tracks Board votes of Restricted Net Assets/Designations. Maintains FAF activity schedule and reporting on net position. Prepares annual Agency budget. Supports Finance with New Bond Issuance by reviewing Bond Documents with Financial Reporting accountant, Treasury and Trustees and prepares change schedules as needed. Assists with preparation of flash financials and budget to actual results on a quarterly basis. Prepares position papers for new GASB and AICPA pronouncements as needed. Prepares tax returns and Annual Reports for CCRI and PADCO. Calculates and reviews Multi-Family Loan Loss Allowance including preparation of the appropriate Notes in the Agency's Annual Financial Report. Prepares and organizes Ginnie Mae operational audits including responses to audit requests and findings. Prepares quarterly forms and compliance letters and arbitrage reporting/filings. Prepares annual Fannie mae Form 582. Reconciles Retirement Plan's bank activity and assumes other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting. CPA, CGFM, CMA and/or MBA preferred. 5+ years of experience in a large financial institution, nationally recognized credit review organization or CPA firm, preferably with a focus on mortgage lending and financial service activities. Knowledge of the housing finance industry a plus. Must possess outstanding financial and analytical skills as well as strong oral, written, and computer-based presentation skills. Demonstrated ability to work under tight deadlines and multi-task and prioritize as necessary. Must demonstrate a proven ability to work effectively with all staff levels of a large financial organization, including the ability to develop effective working relationships with senior level management. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
