Select the two most likely post secondary alternatives that you are thinking of getting into and research both using the resources that are available through the Guidance office or on-line (note that each university or college has their own web site). Job Description – what job are you looking at getting into? What is involved in doing this job? What is a typical day like? What type of education would you need to get into this job?
Education – what schools offer the program you are looking at getting into? What two schools specifically would you be looking at? Why would you select those specific schools? What do they offer that other schools do not? What is the specific program information for each school? Do they offer part-time or full-time enrollment? What is the cost of the program – i.e. tuition fees, residence, or rent, food or meal plan, entertainment, transportation etc…. What are there entrance/admission requirements from high school to get into the program at each school?
Future Outlook – what is the future outlook for this occupation in the Niagara Region specifically? Will there be a demand for this occupation? Why or why not? If there is no demand in the Niagara Region or in Ontario, is there a demand in other provinces? Explain.
