Candidate Action Plan: An Example

Notes to candidate and supervisors:

●Prepare this Candidature Action Plan at the beginning of candidature or at other points in time. Include all standard milestones and activities as well as tasks specific to the project. Be as detailed as you like. There are many possible exemplar activities/milestones in addition to the ones included below e.g., prepare ethics application for June 2018 meeting, join research team journal club, attend at least three interdisciplinary seminars, analyse the data from Experiment 1, draft the methodology chapter, prepare PGRF application, join a writing group, attend a thesis formatting workshop, check the HDR learning skill workshops series and attend at least two events per semester, participate and/or attend three minute thesis competition

●Review tasks completed by candidate at supervisory meetings and amend plan as required by supervisory panel. It is not necessary for supervisors to write comments after every meeting.

●Include details of any training, seminars, workshops, and domestic/international conferences

●The format below can be adapted to thesis by publication or traditional format by adding a column in which candidate and supervisors provide information on status of work on thesis chapters
