Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms Poster Assignment

You will be responsible for creating a poster illustrating one right from the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. Choose a right or freedom that resonates with you (or seems important to you). Refer back to your notes in class on the youtube video we watched on the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms: Make sure to include why you think this right is so important in Canada. (For example, you could say on your poster somewhere that without this right or freedom, ______(something)______would happen, or _____(this group)______would not be protected, etc).

Use your own artistic imagination and creativity to best display this particular right on the 8 ½ x 11 paper provided for you. You can print pictures from home to bring to class or cut out pictures from magazines brought to school from home, or draw the graphics and illustrations yourself – that is up to you to decide. Remember the samples shown in class – use these as ideas to help get you started! Include your name and division as well. Poster Rubric:
