Other notes

Grading is roughly comparable to the U.S. university system. Overall academic quality is high and major Canadian universities are academically demanding. More classes tend to be conducted as seminars than is usually the case at large U.S. universities. Most courses of study in Canada require fewer examinations and more writing of term papers than in the United States; this is particularly evident at the graduate level.
