Part I. – Committee Descriptions
Campus Activities Board Committees:
Committee member expectations:
-Attend weekly meetings, which will require 45 minutes to an hour of planning
-Attend weekly general meeting that will be about 30 minutes.
-Assist with the productions of your committee’s events/projects
Committee Descriptions:
Marketing: Responsible for the promotion and marketing to the student body of all CAB sponsored events. You will assist the VP in creating flyers for various events, decorating the chalkboard, updating social media platforms, and other crafts specific to each event.
Current and Cultural:creates programs that raise awareness and appreciation of current and cultural events, often collaborating with other cultural organizations on campus. Assist the chair in planning and executing events such as: mock presidential elections, relaxation fair, origami night, Lunar New Year, and international food fair.
Late Night Chair: creates programs in the evening to provide entertainment for students as stress relievers. Assist with events that occur on the weekdays such as bingo, trivia, karaoke, Pinterest nights, video game tournaments, and holiday cookie decorating.
Major and Weekend:plans large-scale events ranging from music to movies that happen on campus to reach the general student body. The events include End of Summer Bash, movie premiere at Cinemark, Slip n’ Slide, and A Very Kangaroo Christmas.
Spirit and Traditions: supports athletics and works with the cheerleaders. assists with the traditional midday munchies, passing out spirit items at athletic events, and Homecoming Week activities (CAB cart, Carnival)
