Camera Permission Slip

BHMS Journalism – Hamlin

As part of your Journalism class, you will take photographs of your assigned subject. Yourassignmentis listed below. You are allowed to bring your own camera to school for this purpose if you are willing to follow a few rules.

The rules are simple:

  1. Keep this completely filled out permission slip with you and your camera at all times. No exceptions. This permission is for YOU and your camera, not your friends and your camera.

2. Take photos of what you are assignedonly.

3. BE RESPECTFUL with your camera. Not everyone wants to have their photo taken so unless someone gives you permission to take their photo, don’t even think about it!

4. Don’t disrupt your classroom or any teacher or event by taking photos. If you would like to move to a better spot to take photos then ask permission first.

5. No showing off your photos on the back of your camera to your friends. If you are caught sharing the photos on your camera then your camera will be confiscated.

6. No cameras in the bathrooms or locker rooms.

7. Ben Hill Middle School is not responsible for your camera while it is at school. It is your job to keep up with it. It will be best to have it in your locker until it is time to take pictures. Afterwards, return it to your locker.

8. Media Center cameras should be checked out as close to photography time as is possible and turned back in immediately after the pictures are taken. Cameras may NOT be checked out overnight.

9. When carrying the school camera, the camera case strap should be around your neck. When using the camera, keep the camera strap around your wrist.

10. Submit 5-15 photos to Mrs. Hamlin by allowing her access to your memory card or by turning in a CD or DVD within 2 days. If you take photos and don’t submit any within a week then we will not allow you to bring your camera to school again. Do not submit prints – have a disc made when developing them.

11. Begin your photographs with a picture of this permission form with your name and assignment clearly visible.
