Visit to Hope Valley Cement Works

A visit to Hope Valley Cement Works by the Cambridge Society Sheffield will be held on Thursday, 12 July 2018. It will consist of a short video on the cement making process followed by a visit to the quarry to see both the quarry and factory from the viewing platform. The Quarry/deputy Quarry manager will be available to answer questions.
The visit will start at 10.30 am. Please meet at the works at 10.15 am. Strong footwear is recommended as the ground may be uneven.
Location, Hope Works, Hope Valley, S33 6RP
As no charge is being made a collection will be taken on the day and forwarded to the Edale Mountain Rescue.
Lunch – optional
Following the visit, we will meet for lunch at The Travellers Rest Country Inn at Brough, Bradwell at around 1.15 pm. We are asked to pre order our meal. A menu is below. So please indicate your requirements (with options where offered) when replying. Guests are welcome.
