Karen Hamilton asks for prayers for her aunt, Jean Grissinger.Because of respiratory infection at Misercordia, residents must stay in their rooms. Plus, her eyes are getting bad and she has difficulty reading, which was a great pastime for her. Jean is becoming depressed and hasn't been eating. In addition to prayers for Jean, consider sending a card or note to cheer her up.

Congratulations to Gloria and Ron McElwee on the birth of their grandson born July 7. Gloria said that he is cute and wide awake Proud parents are Brenda and Joe.

Vacation Bible School - Calvary ispartnering with St. Matthew Church this summer for VBS. The theme is “Everest:Conquering Challenges with God’s Mighty Power”. VBS is being held at St. Matt’s during the week of July 20-24, and the sessions are from 6:30-8:30 PM. Ages 3, 4, and 5 are self-contained classes and 1st through 6th grades rotate through stations in the churchThere are application forms at the Information Center and in an orange file folder in the church office.

Calvary and St. Paul’s Work Days at The WELL – July 14, 15, and 16, 9:30 – 11:30 AM. Please consider giving some time to help The WELL serve our community. St. Paul’s Trustees Meetings – 3 MEETINGS! Tuesday, July 21; Wednesday, July 22; Thursday, July 23. All meetings begin at 5:30 PM AT ST. PAUL’S CHURCH.

With that number in play, I have purchased the tickets earlier thananticipated so we can all sit together in the same section. We will be in Section 23 on the 3rd base side. Calvary’s Annual Holiday Bazaar is coming up before we know it! Crafters, please work on items to sell at the bazaar. We also need lots of help setting up, tearing down, and staffing the Bazaar. Bazaar Gift Basket Info is at the Info Center with lists of suggested Gift Basket themes with sampleitems for the theme. There is a sheet of paper for each idea. If you are interestedin creating a basket for the Holiday Bazaar Silent Auction, take the chosen themedbasket list with you. If you have an idea not included, please GO WITH IT. If a particularbasket seems pricey, get a friend or two to help (greater joy and entertainment working withfriends.) Jane Leinbach

St. Paul’s participates in the Support for Incarcerated Women through Prayer and Encouragement Program.This month we have been assigned this woman to pray for and to write to: Megan A. – single, 4 children. Please pick up the half-sheet flyer in the sanctuary or at the Information Center for more information. Calvary congregation, please feel free to participate also.

Calvary Mission Envelopes in the Pews–Please use these envelopes on a regular basis to help meet our goal with the Conference, which is approximately $1,200. This money is for Bishop Park’s challenge - reduction of the mortgage of Mission Central and the “Imagine No Malaria” campaign. Thank you for supporting our mission projects.
