Calling forCDBG Community Success Stories

We are looking for interesting Success Stories to be featured in the Nebraska Investments & Impact Brochure for 2015.

We know that communities across the state work tirelessly, day-in and day-out, to improve the livelihood of their citizens. We want to recognize the projects that accomplish this. We want to highlight projects funded by Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) monies that you feel have contributed to this goal.

Submitting materials for Success Stories is also a good way to show why your community is Nebraska’s Showcase Community deserving of the Community Development Week Showcase Community Award.

Here is what we are looking for from you in order to write a good Success Story.

  • Name of the Grantee (Community)
  • Amount of CDBG funds committed to the project
  • Total funds and sources—who else contributed and how?
  • Total units- what was produced and who were the primary beneficiaries.
  • Completion Date
  • Owner/developer of the project
  • Brief 1-2 paragraph description of the project
  • Brief 1-3 paragraph description of the Impacts
  • Quotes from the beneficiaries—who the project was designed to help
  • Photo(s)
