LCAB Meeting Minutes

April 28th, 2015

CALL TO ORDER: 7:08 PM with a Glory Be by Bret Sunnerville.

PRESENT: Lissa James, Brett Sunnerville, Vicky DeVito, Emily Rowe, Mark Sundberg, Jan Hall

VISITORS: Erin Bush, Erin Warnez, Carol Predum

MINUTES: Minutes for the January meeting were approved as submitted, Emily Rowe 1st, Mark Sundberg 2nd.

PTO REPORT: Emily Rowe stated that the upcoming events include the Endowment Dinner a “Fiesta” will be held on May 2nd with the proceeds to benefit the school endowment fund. She stated that “Fun Run” will be held this Thursday, April 30th with a rain date of Friday. On May 14th Trash Dash will be held and supported financially by PTO. Also Track and Field Day will be held for Middle School only. The last day of school field day will also be supported by the PTO. On June 13th the annual golf outing will be held.

PRINCIPALS REPORT: The Principals report is attached to these minutes in their entirety.

·  Jan is looking for ways to reach out to the people of the parish.

·  She wants to hold a school registration day/night with volunteer lists for school support like recess/lunch duty.

·  Lissa suggested adding uniform information.

·  Emily suggested adding bus information.

·  The following dates were decided: Sunday, May 31st at 9:45-10:45 and 12:00-1:00 also, Monday June 1st from 3:30-6:00.

·  The building and grounds improvements have been delegated to a grounds committee.

·  The Principal self-evaluation is ready, the board decided to table this matter until the May meeting at which time Brett will distribute Principal Evaluation forms.

VISITOR COMMENTS: N/A

NEW BUSINESS: Brett announced that he will be seeking other opportunities in his personal life. One such opportunity will involve working with the Catholic Bible School, cbsmich.org. This is a four year bible school with 2 hour classes running September- May. His goal is to bring it to our area someday with him as a CBS coordinator and instructor. Because of these obligations he will not be able to fulfill the role of President and stated his intent to not run for the position in the next election. Lissa James made a motion to move officer elections to the August meeting to coincide with Brett’s timeline. Emily Rowe 2nd. The motion was passed unanimously.

OLD BUSINESS: N/A

GROUNDS REPORT: Mark Sundberg reported for the Grounds Committee. He stated that he looked at the vulnerability report. He stated that the Grounds Improvement Day is scheduled for Saturday, May 16th commencing at 8 AM. Volunteers should bring rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows, sun screen and work gloves.

MARKETING REPORT: Emily Rowe stated that the marketing committee needs to meet again and she will coordinate this.

Meeting was adjourned by prayer at 8:08 with a Hail Mary led by Bret Sunnerville.
