2009 CALL FOR PROPOSALS

Southern Business Education Association Convention

Huntsville, Alabama

October 21-24, 2009

The Southern Business Education Association invites proposals from all members for participation in the SBEA 2009 convention program. A proposal is a request to participate or lead in the following types of concurrent special interest sessions:

v  Forums include presentations of successful practices and programs implemented in business classrooms on the middle, secondary, and postsecondary levels. Forums are intended for audiences of 40-50; presenters must supply their own media (laptop and projector); and include 1-3 presenters.

v  Demonstrations are sessions which provide illustrations of actual hardware and/or software applications. Demonstrations are designed for audiences of 40-50. These sessions will employ a range of technology. However, presenters are encouraged to simplify the technical requirements of their demonstration.

v  Research sessions provide speakers an opportunity to present findings of research projects completed within the past two years.
