Dear all,
Please note that the deadlineto submit applications to attend the30th session of the Human Rights Council, the Working Group of the Universal Periodic Reviewas well as the sessions of treaty bodiestaking place in Geneva between September and December 2015is: 24July2015.
Below are the States that will be examined by the UPR and Treaty Bodiesfor the said period:
- 30th session of the Human Rights Council (September 2015)
Some of the issues that will be discussed at the 30th session of the Human Rights Council include:
-Indigenous Peoples (Interactive dialogue with the Special Rapporteur on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples and the Expert Mechanism on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples; and half day discussion on the rights of indigenous peoples)
-Children and armed conflict
-Water and Sanitation
-Hazardous Wastes
-Contemporary forms of slavery
-Truth, Justice, reparation and non-recurrence
-Development
-Adoption of the UPR Working Group reports of: Belarus, Liberia, Malawi, Mongolia, Panama, Maldives, Andorra, Bulgaria, Honduras, United States of America, Marshall Islands, Croatia, Jamaica, Libya
- 23rdsession of the UPR Working Group (Geneva, 2 – 13 November 2015)
