2 First Friday All-Night Adoration in prayer for the advancement of the culture of life will be held at the Discalced Carmelite Monastery, 600 Flowers Ave., Dallas, located off of Jefferson Blvd. Security will be there throughout the night. Come as early as 5:00 p.m. Latin Mass will be held at 8:00 p.m. Friday and 3:00 a.m. Saturday. Adoration ends just before the 7:00 a.m. Saturday Mass. These prayer vigils will be held every first Friday of the month. The Cloistered Carmelites will also be praying all night. You may leave your personal prayer requests with them. 2-4 Crossroads: America’s Pro-Life Pilgrimage will be walking through Dallas. Crossroads is a national organization of mostly college-age students who walk across the country to proclaim the pro-life message. While they are in town they will need host homes and parish and youth events in which to participate. 3, 10 TOBET 6th Annual Boot Camp: The Boot Camp is three consecutive Saturdays (the first session is June 26) from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. TOBET Boot Camp is an intensive time of study undergirded by Pope John Paul II’s thoughts concerning topics that will help form an adult to be a beacon for evangelization in society. Each session is led by a professional who holds a Master’s Degree. This year’s topic is “Marriage and the Family.” Breakfast and a hearty snack are provided. Come with pen and paper and a mind ready to embrace the Catholic Church’s Deposit of Faith. You may want to procure these works, though not necessary, before attending: Pope John Paul II’s Familiaris Consortio and Letter to Families. No fee is charged, but donations are accepted. 10 Quarterly Mass, Adoration & Rosary Procession for an End to Abortion in Dallas: Mass will be celebrated by Fr. Robert Williams, at 8:00 a.m. at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 214 S. Garland Ave., Garland 75040, followed by Eucharistic Adoration and a Rosary Procession by bus to the Planned Parenthood abortion center, 7424 Greenville Ave., Dallas 75231. 17 “Render Unto Caesar: Defending Life in the Public Square” – a Civic Action Conference: 9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. at St. Ann Catholic Church, 180 Samuel Blvd., Coppell 75019. The conference will train and activate grassroots citizens to become involved in defending life in the public square. You will hear from experts in the field, including Bishop Mark Seitz, Dr. Joe Pojman with Texas Alliance for Life, Jonathan Saenz with Liberty Institute, the CPLC’s Karen Garnett, and keynote speaker Carol Everett. You will learn to make a difference in the upcoming Texas Legislative Session, what the Church teaches about civic involvement and why you should be involved. The conference will end with the 5:00 Vigil Mass at St. Ann (optional). Early registration is $25.00 per person and $35.00 per couple, which includes a continental breakfast, lunch and all conference materials and resources. This year’s theme is “It’s a Revolution – Theology of the Body.” Pro-Life Boot Camp is co-sponsored by the Dallas Catholic Pro-Life Committee’s YFL and the Fort Worth Catholics Respect Life’s YFL. Youth may attend for just the weekend or stay for the whole six-day event. Activities include praise and worship, youth-created pro-life skits, prayer time in front of abortion centers, community service projects, and presentations from guest speakers Monica Ashour, TOBET 4 Teens by Teens, and the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal, on the following topics: The Language of the Body, TOB and Respect for Life, and How to Share TOB.

Come for the weekend, July 30-August 1, or come for the whole Boot Camp, July 30-August 4. The weekend costs $120; the whole Boot Camp costs $210. This class kicks off the fall/winter session of the GEMS (Gabriel Education Ministry & Support) Academy, an extended ministry of Project Gabriel. The class will be from11:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. at St. Rita Catholic Church, 12521 Inwood Rd., Dallas.
