CAHE Business Meeting
October 4, 2012

Meeting began promptly at 6:30pm and was called to order by Nathalia Burleson.
Nathalia Burleson opened in prayer and conducted meeting.
Nathalia discussed our legal status. We are all done and clear and are filled with the IRS as a 501C7. We are not incorporated but will follow the same guidelines as if we were. A copy of the 422NC will be avalable and will need to be consulted for proper guidelines to follow in the event we do any fund raising, etc. All forms will be available online for everyone to see.
Missie Kavan presented the CAHE budge to every member present. Our beginning balance was $234.00 (this is after our kick off party and plus box tops we have received). We received $1727.50 in dues. We have 99 families that are active. Last years budget was used as a guide for this year. We are allowed to use box tops for our group, the IRS approved using them.
*Becky Hogan made the motion to accept the budget as presented. Trisha
Thomas 2nd the motion. Motion passed.
Nathalia presented info for our 99N postcard (legal documents).
*Stephanie Bender made the motion for the CAHE Treasure to file the 99N
Postcard to be filed online by September 1st of each year, and should report that
they have done so at the fall CAHE business meeting. Cindy Stalnaker 2nd the
motion. Motion passed.
Stephanie Bender discussed the mentor program.
Stephanie Bender discussed December’s parents night. She needs to know what each class is doing and if there are students in more than 1 class.
Shawn Chapman stated that the Education Alliance needs to be informed of CAHE’s new leadership.
Monique discussed the intent to serve form. If you have not, please print form, fill out and return to Monique. We still need the following: Field Trip for April, Help for the Christmas party, LNO, Field Day and the Presentation/Science fair. See Monique for questions.
Angela Fraser presented the Co-op budget. Our previous balance was $86.00. We have collected $955.00 from dues. Paid $131.00 for the website. Spend $155.00 for name tags, an increase due to larger enrollment. $50.00 towards Angela and Cindy (Stalnaker) printing supplies (paper and ink cartridge) We have given $75.00 in scholarships. We have needed $250.00 in the past year but because of enrollment we need to increase the budget to $400.00 for field day. We will keep $50-$60 in the account for next year. Shawn Chapman asked if a written copy of the budget would be available in a line by line format like the CAHE budget. Angela stated she just went through the budget line by line and would work on a copy.
