YOUR REQUEST FOR INFORMATION – Winning Tender Documents Cleaning North Region Offices

Thank you for your recent request for information which has been allocated Request Number ATI688.

You requested the following information:

“please would it be possible to see the winning tender documents including costs submitted for the recently advertised tender for your offices/locations in north wales” (sic).

After careful consideration, we are able to respond in part by providing you with some of the information you requested.

I have enclosed a copy of the information (MITIE's Tender to the Countryside Council for Wales

for the Provision of Cleaning Services) we are able to supply in respect of the tender documents aspect of your request.

We regret to inform you that we are unable to provide you with some information, the specific financial details of the winning tender, as it falls under the exemption in Regulation 43 of the Freedom of Information Act (2000) which relates to commercial prejudice and trade secrets.

In applying this exemption we have had to balance the public interest in withholding the information against the public interest in disclosure. The attached annex sets out the exemption in full, as well as the factors we considered in deciding where the public interest lay.
