Linking with diagnostic services

  • Update national directory of diagnostic services and identify diagnostic labs that are close to the clinic clusters (4.10)
  • Develop/improve plant doctor’s skills to prepare sample for diagnostic laboratories (2.7)
  • Establish in-country mechanisms for receiving and processing of samples by diagnostic labs, and national coordinator/IPPC’s focal person. 25 Samples sent by plant doctors to national diagnostic labs (2.7)

Plant health rallies and mass extension campaigns

  • Key messages circulated to larger numbers of farmers using mobile agro advisory approaches, particularly services supported by D2F (3.4)
  1. In-country scaling-up of Plantwise
  • Develop national scaling-up plans with national partners through meetings/workshops, leading to the development of programme management plans (selection of focal areas, people, facilities etc.), monitoring and evaluation plans, training plans, data management, and programme support plans(1.5 and 1.7)
  • Backstopping national trainers through method and material support, performance review & feedback, exchange visits and provision of training materials (1.7)
