A-Level and Level 3 Courses

  • If you gain at least 5 grade A* to C GCSEs including Mathematics and English, you may take four A-Level courses. Some subjects have additional entry criteria; you will need to have at least a grade B in each subject chosen, or a related subject - see the prospectus for further details.
  • To study other Level 3 courses you will need to gain at least five A* to C GCSEs preferably with Mathematics and English (you must have at least one of these).
  • You can choose any combination of courses up to 4 A-Levels or A-Level equivalents but you must meet the criteria for each one that you pick.

Level 2 Courses

If you do not achieve GCSE grades sufficient to commence Level 3, you can join the Vocational programme at Level 2 and, if successful, progress to a Level 3 course in the same subject in the following year if you wish. You will complete a qualification in ICT and can choose from either Business Studies or Health and Social Care.

If you meet the standards expected of you the invitation will remain in place. Enrolment onto your chosen courses will be dependent on sufficient demand for the subjects and meeting the entry criteria.
