Notes

  1. These workshops are compulsory. If you miss one for whatever reason, your AHOP will contact you and instruct you to make it up by attending a later run of the same workshop. Workshops for latecomers (see below) can be attended by those who missed a workshop too.
  2. All new intake students must (i) attend both the “APA referencing skills” and “Avoiding plagiarism” workshops, and (ii) take and pass the “Good referencing” test. (If you fail the test, you can retake it until you pass; however, you cannot submit any assessment online until you have passed it.)
  3. The workshops below are the compulsory ones. The Study Skills Advisor also conducts regular free optional workshops on various other aspects of studying in New Zealand, including reading skills, critical thinking. See the AIS ESS (ess.ais.ac.nz) for details and timetable.
