Furniture. Furniture in general purpose classrooms and theatrettes can be arranged by lecturers and their class to suit the activity. Lecturers are requested to ensure any furniture borrowed from the adjoining individual learning area is returned, and the room left tidy for the next class.

Rooms will be booked on Syllabus+ from TP3/2006 onward.

The Individual Learning Area F314 is an elongated open area which provides the public thoroughfare at all times through the upper level of the building outside the classrooms and theatrettes. Alongside the windows are five fixed oval tables each seating six persons, and a small lounge area.
The tables are designed for casual and informal activities such as small workgroup meetings or individual learning, with data and power connections available. F314 may be used in association with bookings for the timetabled teaching spaces where breakout activity is incorporated, either casually on a space available at the time basis or by formal booking on Syllabus+.
F314 provides general access through the building at all times and, accordingly, is not suitable for any continuous presentation.
F305 is an open 7 x 24 hour computer access area designed for individual and small group computer based learning. Eight fixed oval tables with desktop computers and each seating six persons are provided together with a small lounge area. F305 also provides general access through the building. F305 can not normally be booked during teaching periods.
During breaks between teaching periods, booking of F314 and F305 in association with the timetabled facilities for special courses is more manageable, although the areas remain thoroughfares for occasional traffic.
