·  Attention Freshman with a GPA of 3.4 and higher: On Tuesday, April 28th you will receive an invitation to attend a short presentation with the President of Minds Matter in the library computer lab on Wednesday, April 29 during either 4a or 4b. Minds Matter is a very well respected high school mentoring program which focuses on ACT test prep and college placement. Please don't miss this important event! ·  MAC Diamonds will meet next Monday, April 27th in the library; however please listen for an upcoming announcement that will give you information about future events.(4/27)

·  ATTENTION BOOK CLUBBERS! Do you have a favorite book? Or maybe 2?!! Book Club will be holding a special meeting this Friday after school to share and discuss our favorite books. Bring your favorite book to the meeting for this fun discussion! "And don't forget: order forms for club shirts are due today!"Hope to see you all there!(4/24)

·  Student Congress Next year's seniors who wish to run for Student Congress Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer as well as next year's juniors who would like to run for Student Congress Junior Executive are invited to get a petition form from attendance starting on Monday, April 27, 2015. All correctly completed petitions must be turned into the Attendance Office by Friday, May 1, 2015. (5/1)

·  Class Officers All Brush Students interested in running for Senior/Junior/Sophomore class officers for next school year are requested to pick up a class officer form from the Attendance Office on Monday, April 4, 2015 through Friday, April 8, 2015. All applications are due to the Attendance Office on Friday, April 8, 2015. (5/8)

·  SENIORS: the “Senior Class Important Information Booklet” will now consist of a few pages that reference the “Dates to Remember” that were discussed in our meeting. This is now available for pick up in the Principal’s Office.

o  You will find updated information regarding the New Cap, Gown, and Ticket & Yearbook Pick up date of Tuesday, May 26th! Also information on Extra Ticket orders, Student Fees and other items of interest that lead to Commencement Day! Please stop in the Principal’s Office for a YELLOW Copy of this update.

o  Again this is available now. Pick up a copy and PLEASE SHARE THESE UIPDATES WITH YOUR PARENTS!

There are some updates that will be crucial to the weeks going forward as we approach Commencement Day!

Also the following is a list of your new fee deadlines:

§  Today, April 24th for Cosmetology Students

§  May 8th for the entire 12th Grade Class

o  Keep in mind …Fees that are not paid, will prevent you from participating in the Commencement and getting your diploma. Keep up with your dates, you must read your booklet! Save the dates on the calendar in your phone and be knowledgeable of your events!(5/26)

·  Senior Extra Ticket: MANY SENIORS ARE PAYING FOR EXTRA TICKETS…PLEASE KEEP IN MIND and share with your parents, THAT YOUR FEES MUST BE PAID IN FULL BY FRIDAY, MAY 8TH TO RECEIVE ANY TICKETS.

o  Extra Ticket orders can be turned in to Mrs. Sanford, with your money, in the Principal’s Office, Monday through Friday during Lunch Periods from 10:30am to 1:00pm. We will accept orders until our ticket order deadline of May 8th. (5/8)

·  Graduation Announcements were delivered yesterday. If you placed an order with Herff Jones and did not pick them up yesterday please see Mrs. Sanford during your lunch period in the Principal’s Office to pick up your order. Also, Extra Announcements will be sold on a first come first basis at $1.50 each. (5/8)

o  Senior Project This announcement is for seniors going on senior project. Just a reminder that at the end of the day, you are to give your grade sheets to Mrs. Campana in the front office. Failure to turn in your grade sheets will not allow you to go on senior project on Monday 4/27/15. Also remember to give your community sponsor form to your community sponsor upon arrival on Monday. Journal every day, stay in touch with your faculty advisor weekly, and attend the senior symposium on the evening of May 8th at 7:00p.m. in the P.A.C. Please bring back your community sponsor form to the symposium along with your journal that evening. When you come back to school on May 11th, you will start a week of finals in the cafeteria in the morning at 8:00a.m. beginning with English. Those that are taking AP exams, please remember the date and time of your test. Locker cleanup will be held later that week at the end of finals. As you spend your last instructional day at high school remember to thank your teachers for helping you through your senior year.

o  Remember that you will be coming back to school May 11-May15 for finals. You will clean out your lockers with the rest of the seniors at the end of the testing week for seniors. If you have any further questions, please see Mr. Komperda.(4/24)

·  The Kick-It Kickball Tournament Attention 9th, 10th and 11th graders. On May 18th brush will be holding a kickball tournament on Korb Field during 7th and 8th periods as part of a fundraiser for the Kick-It for Pediatric Cancer Organization. The Kick-It Organization raises money to help pediatric cancer research. You can help with the fundraiser by donating money in several ways. During your lunch periods on Tuesday and Thursdays, the Freshman, Sophomore and Junior class officers will be selling kick it bracelets for $2 and buttons for $1. You may buy as many as you want. Every Time you donate you will write your name on one of the paper kick balls that will then be hung up in the showcases in the cafeteria. You can then select a teacher who you would like to see play in the kickball tournament on the teachers team. The winning student team will then take on the top 12 vote getters. Our goal is to donate more than $1000. We currently have a little over 200. Students, let's hit our goal and even try to surpass it by showing our support for this great organization and wonderful cause.
