Brown Bag Book Report Project for Summer Reading Novel

1. On the front of the bag provided, write the title of your book and author. Next,decorate the front with a drawing that goes with the story. Your picture should cover the whole front of the bag. This picture needs to be hand-drawn and NOTa picture printed from the computer or cut from magazines or newspapers.

2. On the back of the bag, write:

a. Main Characters - Include all of the main characters

b. Supporting Characters - Include any other characters that may have been in the

story, but were not main characters.

c. Setting - Include the places and the time periods your story took place.

d. Conflicts - Include the main problem within the story. (only need 1 sentence!)

e. Resolutions - Include the ending of the story. (no more than 3 sentences!)

Example of the back of the bag:

1. Decorate the sides of the bag with pictures or words about the book. These pictures can be hand-drawn, printed from the computer, or cut from magazines or newspapers.

1. Writeyour name and period(in pen) on theBOTTOM of the bag.

1. Place 5 small items inside the bag that represent significant events that happened in the book. You could also select objects that show aspects of the main character(s) personality traits. Find items around your house; please don’t buy anything.TheyMUST fit insidethe bag provided. No drawings or pictures of any kind are to be used inside the bag.

1. You will be required to tell the class about your book. You may read directly from your bag as long as you establish eye contact with the class. You will also be required to tell the class about each item in your bag and why you chose this item. You will be given points for loudness and clarity when presenting.
