CLUB DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR

(CoveringDurham, Northumberlandand Tyne & Wear)

37 hours per week

Salary

£17,638.00 to £22,773.50 per annum, depending on experience

Summary

The overall purpose of this role is to work in partnership with clubs, volunteers and local organisations, to implement and deliver local initiatives that will increase the quality of provision and the participation levels within the sport; and contribute to the delivery of the Area Plan aligned to the organisation’s development goals.

The Role

Working to a comprehensive and focussed programme of work, duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Building up an effective and robust network of contacts and volunteers for supporting and delivering initiatives
  • Organising and coordinating events
  • Supporting clubs with business and development solutions
  • Building relationships with sports partners to identify funding sources and recommend/influence investment opportunities etc.
  • Supporting GymMark Accreditation
  • Supporting clubs to establish satellite programmes through links with Leisure Centres, Schools, FE/HE
  • Promoting Programmes and Resources

The Person

The ideal applicant will be based within the North and will have/be able to demonstrate:

  • An in-depth knowledge of gymnastics activities within the Area and be hands-on in facilitating and delivering key initiatives and projects
  • Be able to demonstrate a broad range of skills including communication/interpersonal skills for meetings, training sessions and relationship building
  • Have competent administration/IT skills for correspondence, funding applications, presentations, budgetary management etc.
  • Possess a broad knowledge of gymnastics and its disciplines/pathways, regional/national structure etc.
  • Have sport development experience or a relevant qualification in Sport Studies/Development
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a car for work.
