2015/16 TALENT IDENTIFIED PLAYERS (TIP) PROGRAM
This program is aimed at players turning 12-18 years in 2016.
This program is designed to improve the playing and coaching standards of netball at the BNA at both the elite and club levels and to increase participation in representative netball.
Our coaches are experienced BNA representative coaches who will focus on mastering essential skills as well as furthering and extending skills to the next level.
The training will be high intensity and will prepare players for the next step into representative netball or further development for players who have already playedrepresentative netball. The training program includes specialist sessions, guest coaches, pool sessions and professional guests (ie psychologists, nutritionists etc).
If selected into the program, players will either be assigned into teams or into training squads. There will also be an opportunity for players to be selected to attend invite-only development clinics throughout the season.
Selected teams will be entered into the summer night competition at BNA. These teams will be playing in a higher age-group than they would ordinarily qualify.
Players selected as trainers will train only (either on a weekly basis or invited to several clinics throughout the season) and will not play in the summer night competition as part of the program. If players are only available to train and not for selection in a team, they are to indicate this on the nomination form or advise the selectors of this at the time of trials.
All players participating in the TIP program are required to nominate for a Brisbane Netball Association 2016 representative team.
You are only required to complete one nomination form to nominate for TIP and Junior Rep and pay the combined nomination fee of $30.
You are required to trial separately for TIP selection (August 2015) and Rep Team selection (Jan/Feb 2016).
Commitment Times and Details
Players
U12–U15 age groups
- Train from 6.00-8.00pm Monday night
- Play in their TIP team in the Wednesday night competition
U16 team
- Train from 5-6pm each Monday night (Strength & Conditioning training)
- Play in their TIP team in the Wednesday night competition
Trainers
U 12 – 14 age groups
- Invited to attend 4 specialist clinics held on Sunday afternoons during the season. Dates will be advised at the start of the season.
U15 and U16 age groups
- Train each Monday from 6-7.30pm
Under 18 trainers
- Participate in Strength and Conditioning program each Monday from 5-6pm and
- Invited to attend 4 specialist clinics held on Sunday afternoons during the season. Dates TBA.

Nomination Fee
A $30 nomination fee covers both the TIP program and the junior representative nomination.
If paid after the nomination closing date a late nomination fee of $35 applies.
How to pay
The nomination fee is to be paid no later than
22 August 2015.
Payment can be made by cash, EFTPOS at the BNA clubhouse or alternatively by direct debit

We discourage players from playing in a club AND TIP team during the Summer Season.
Uniforms
If selected in a TIP team a BNA uniform is required
Any player who does not have a BNA dress will be able to hire a dress through our hire system. More details will be provided for those players selected in the program.
All players are required to wear a BNA training singlet to training on Monday nights. These will be available for purchase at a uniform night – details will be provided once selections have been announced.

Nominations are called for players for BNA representative teams for 2016.Nominations are open for players from U12 to U18
All dates and venues are still to be confirmed by Netball Queensland.
Commitment
Selected players are required to attend all training sessions at the coaches’ discretion.
Please state clearly on the nomination form if there is any reason why you would be unable to fully participate in any program.

Trial Venue
All trials are held at Wavell State High School Sports Centre, Childers Street, Wavell Heights.
Nominations close on Wednesday 20 January 2015. If you did not nominate for the TIP trials the fee is $15. A fee of $20 will apply if paid after 20 January 2015.
Program Costs
Costs will be confirmed once the host association is announced and information is received from Netball Queensland.
If the venue or cost precludes you from being available for any events please advise us at .
There are also costs associated with the purchase of uniforms.
Any players selected in a representative team, who require any uniform items, need to attend a uniform fitting on Saturday 6 February 2016.
All players selected in a representative team are required to attend a Welcome Night on Monday 8 February 2016 at 6.00pm.
