Wherever possible car parking and camping will be as near to the Agility rings as possible.

Health and Safety Regulations prohibit vehicular movements on the showground when the

show is open to the general public.* Day parking Agility competitors need to be in

their special parking area by 9.30 am at the latest to qualify for the free show entry concession.

Competitors arriving after this time will be located in the Public Car Park.

There may be occasions when restrictions on leaving the show before 5pm will apply.

Classifications

Elementary

For owners, handlers or dogs which have never been placed 1st, 2nd or 3rd at a licensed open agility test

Starters

For owners, handlers or dogs which have not won an Agility and/or a Jumping class at a licensed open Agility test (elementary excepted).

Special Starters

Open to standard height dogs which have not won an Agility and/or a Jumping class at a licensed Open Agility test (elementary excepted).

Xtra special

Open to dogs that have entered no other class other than Xtra special.

This class is not open to dogs that have competed at standard height in the last 6 months

Novice

Open to dogs, which are not eligible for Senior or Advanced classes.

Mini

Open to those dogs measuring 381 mm (1’3”) or under at the withers.

Midi

Open to those dogs measuring over 381 mm (1’3”) and those measuring 432 mm (1’5”) or under at the withers.

Rules & Regulations
  1. Entry fees: £2.00 per dog, per class
  2. Camping is £5.00 per unit, per night.
  3. The organisers reserve the right to refuse entries.
  4. Puppies under eighteen calendar months of age on the first day of the show are not eligible for Agility Tests.
  5. No person shall carry out punitive correction or harsh handling of a dog at any time within the boundaries of the Show.
  6. Dogs must not wear slip chains, or leads but may wear a close fitting flat collar when under test.
  7. Food shall not be carried in the hand or given to the dog in the ring.
  8. No competitor shall impugn the decision of the judge or judges.
  9. In all matters concerning Agility Tests the Judge’s decision is final, in all other matters the management of the event’s decision is final.
  10. Jump height will be 2ft in Elementary & Starters. 2ft 6inches in Novice classes for Standard dogs. 1’8” for Xtra special and Midi dogs and 1.3” for Mini dogs. Any other hurdle height changes will be announced prior to the competition.
  11. A dog will be withdrawn from competition and removed from test if it is:

A bitch, which is in season.

Suffering from any infectious diseases

Interfering with the safety or chance of winning of an opponent

Of such temperament or is so much out of hand as to be a danger to the safety of any person or other animal.

Likely to cause suffering to the dog if it continues competing

  1. In the event of abandonment of the show through circumstances beyond our control, the organisers will defray

any such expenses from the entry fees to cover the cost of the show preparation.

  1. All dogs are entered at this show at their owners risk and whilst every care will be taken, the management of the show will not accept responsibility for loss, damage or injury however caused to dogs, persons or property whilst at the show.
  2. DOG FOULING – Any owner, competitor, or other person in charge of a dog is required to pick up and remove any fouling, as soon as possible.
  3. Any bank charges incurred to the organisation by individual competitor’s circumstances will be recovered from that person.
  4. Classes: 1,2,13 & 14 class limit 75 per class. Classes: 3,4,5,6,15,16,17 & 18 limit 100 per class. Classes:7,8,9,10,11,12,19,20,21,22,23 & 24 limit 30 per class
  5. Classes 9,10,11,12,21,22,23 & 24 will be combined but the equipment will be set to reflect the size of dog.
