Scope of work

  • conduct a physical investigation of the building(s)/structure(s) prior to starting the painting and make recommendations regarding the condition of the existing paintwork
  • undertake painting in accordance with the guidelines outlined in The Painting Process
  • clean, prime where required, undercoat and apply …………..…coats of paint
  • provide products and workmanship warranty as well as any information regarding future maintenance required for the paint work
  • make safety provisions to allow access to the heritage place at all times during painting and specify how to access specific areas:

  • gutters, fascias, barges, soffits, battened soffits, downpipes, handrails, wrought iron balustrades, floor edges, lattice panels, fencing, fretwork, stair (masonry or timber) and floors, posts, batten fencing, timber floor, verandah floors edge, verandah balustrade, timber posts, doors, frames, fence palings
  • weatherboard walls, masonry walls
  • timber stairs – handrail, stringers and treads
  • steel window security grills, windows, window sills

Exterior surfaces above lower gutter line including roof structures to include:

  • previously painted gutters, fascias, down pipes, windows, gable walls, exhaust vents, masonry walls, masonry parapet walls, window hoods, chimneys

Other areas to include:

  • garden walls
  • fences
  • gates
  • security bars

Areas not to be painted (circle or list all items/areas not to be painted)

  • roof sheeting, signage, interior surfaces, air conditioning units and ducting, storage areas
  • all surfaces which are unpainted or pre-finished
Liaison
  • maintain regular contact with the property owner/consultant at all stages of the project and provide regular updates on project progress or required changes to the project
Quotation
  • quote is inclusive of all labour, equipment and materials to complete the work
  • separate quotes to be provided for the following:
