BREEDING AGREEMENT/STALLION SERVICE CONTRACT

This certifies that______has engaged the services of______for the mare______Registration #

______for the 20___season at $______.

SERVICES SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING:

1.   Booking fee of $______and the balance of $______plus all unpaid expenses will be payable upon receipt of invoice or when the mare is picked up, whichever is first.

2.   The mare shall be in a healthy and sound breeding condition. A Veterinarians certificate shall accompany each mare and failure to furnish this will be your authorization to have the mare examined by the farm Veterinarian at your expense.

3.   Mares that are not halter broken will not be accepted.

4.   Rear shoes must be removed prior to checking in at (Farm name).

5.   (Farm name) will not be responsible for accident , sickness or death to your mare or foal while in for breeding and will excersize sound judgement in the care and supervision of all horses in their care. It is also understood that the mare owner likewise, will not be responsible for any disease, accident or injury to the stallion.

6.   (Farm name) agrees to diligently try to settle your mare. If however, the mare does not settle, the mare owner agrees to hold (Farm name) harmless.

7.   A live foal is guaranteed from this mating. Should the mare not settle, or the foal not stand and suck, (Farm name) will give the privilege to return and breed the following breeding season only. This privilege will only be honored if notification of the foals death is received within one week from death and the notice be accompanied by a statement as to reason of death from a licensed Veterinarian.

8.   It is further agreed that should the above stallion die or become unfit for service or if the mare dies or becomes unfit to breed, then this contract shall become null and void.

9.   No monies shall be refunded at anytime for any reason by (Farm name).

10.   Proven negative coggins test results and current health certificates shall accompany all mares.

11.   Breeders certificates and/or signed foal registration forms shall be issued after the mare owner notified (Farm name) that the mare has foaled.

12.   This contract is personal for the Purchaser and shall not be assigned or transferred by Purchaser without prior written consent by the seller(Farm name).
