Fitness Gym Class Descriptions & Fees

Classes at No Additional Charge

Beginner YOGA- Enjoy this Vinyasa YOGA class enjoying sun salutations, warrior series, and peak poses, finding your place on the mat, and final relaxation with meditation. Just let yourself breathe in breath out and focus on your present through uniting your body, mind and spirit.

Bodyworks- A combination of traditional body sculpting methods using free weights, resistance bands, and your own body with bursts of cardio mixed in. Total body workout sure to make you sweat.

Bootcamp- Work your body to the max with strength, cardio, core & flexibility training all in one

Chair YOGA- Improve your health through an amazing form of adaptive exercise. Regardless of your age, level of activity and physical challenges, you will derive wonderful benefits from participating in Chair Yoga. Please note: This class is limited to 15 participants.

Change it Up: Full body workout that combines plyometrics, cardio intervals and various equipment including medicine balls, bars, dumbbells, bands, tubes, BOSU and Bender balls.

Core Stretch: (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced)- Balance core strengthening with stretches for long lean muscles.

Lower Body Blast- (Intermediate, Advanced) A 1-hour super leg & abs sculpting program focusing on your lower half

Strength Training-(All levels) class uses various tools (weight bars, dumbbells, ankle weights, and tubing); dedicated to conditioning muscle groups, balancing and stretching to achieve a feeling of being fit

Total Body express- (All Levels) Get the most out of your lunch break and take this 30 minute total body strength and sculpting class. Use various types of equipment (dumbbells, resistance bands/tubing, BOSU balls, stability balls, bender balls, body bars, and mats) to work all muscle groups and feel rejuvenated for the rest of your busy day!

ZUMBA- (All levels) a Latin inspired fitness class featuring Salsa, Merengue, Cumbia and Regaeton dance movements. ZUMBA is a party, have fun!

Additional Charge and/or Discounted Fee (Pre-Registration Required)

Strong Women: ($40 for 12-week session for non-members; free to members) - This 12-week strength-training program is specifically for midlife and older women and geared towards those with osteoporosis or osteopenia. Learn to increase your strength, bone density, balance, and energy. This program is geared to strengthen your muscles, improve the integrity of your bones, and improve balance, coordination, and mobility. (Sessions run quarterly January, April, July & October)

Postpartum YOGA: ($25 registration fee) – Bring your baby for some mommy and me time while de-stressing and getting your body back after pregnancy and birth. Please contact our education department to register at 215.710.2122

Holistic Center Classes:

Held in six or eight week series; $30 or $40/series for Wellness Center members/colleagues. Please call 215.710.6948 to register.

Gentle Movement - Not everyone is interested in or capable of engaging in a strenuous workout. There are many different forms of gentle movement and breathing techniques that have wonderful benefits for the body, mind and spirit, and may be done either standing or seated. Join others who are enjoying the benefits of Gentle Movement to encourage health and vitality regardless of physical limitation.

Tai Chi - This ancient form of movement is designed to enhance health, relaxation, balance, flexibility & strength. Practiced daily and properly, these gentle yet powerful exercises promote mental tranquility, improve physical fitness, and increase circulation.

Tai Chi for Parkinson’s : This class uses a simplified Tai Chi form geared specifically for people dealing with Parkinson's. Registration and Physician’s Clearance are required. This class is an additional fee.

Advanced Yoga- Take your Yoga practice to the next level. This class places an emphasis on deepening awareness of the body and understanding of alignment principles. Movements are more flowing than in beginning classes. Knowledge of the basic poses is assumed, with posture variations and breathing practices to help you deepen your experience.
