Job Title Corporate Partnerships Officer – Account Management (External Job Title would be ‘Key Account Manager’)

Accountable to: Corporate Partnerships Manager – Partnership Development

Section: Fundraising and Marketing

Location: Southwark, SE1

Salary: NJC Grade D, Point 31 - £30,529 per annum inc. LW

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 35 per week – generally 9.00am to 5.00pm

Our specialist nurses, local services and emotional support network mean there’s always someone to turn to for tailored and trusted information and care. We promote the importance of early detection, and campaign for better standards of support and care, bringing together people with breast cancer in everything we do. About the Corporate Partnerships team:

With a team target of raising £4.5m this year, working in partnership with companies is integral to delivering Breast Cancer Care’s services to thousands of women, men and their families. Through our partnerships with Asda, BHS, The FA, QVC and many more, we raise almost a third of Breast Cancer Care’s income, and we have ambitious growth plans for the future in order for us to double the reach of our services by 2020.

The team is made up of New Business, Account Management, and a Research specialists who collaborate closely on a daily basis. We are, ambitious, lively and passionate about raising money for Breast Cancer Care.

Our Account Management team are always looking for ways to develop and grow our corporate partnerships. We have recently invested in training and developed resources, to increase our tools and confidence when ‘selling-in’ new ideas to our partners.

About the Key Account Manager role:

With ambitious income targets, we are looking for someone who is passionate about partnership growth.

You will lead on a portfolio of some of Breast Cancer Care’s most significant strategic partnerships, collectively worth over £500,000 across a variety of sectors. These include high-profile commercial and brand partnerships, as well as employee fundraising and Charity of the Year. You will be responsible for delivering agreed partnership activity and day-to-day account management, as well as exploring opportunity to develop and grow their partnerships.

The ideal candidate for this role will be someone who: is confident, ambitious and determined; thinks strategically; is passionate about innovation and new ideas and can win others over; is able to build strong relationships; and can manage multiple priorities.

Flexibility:

Working in Corporate Partnerships requires adapting to a changing environment, so flexibility is required for this role. Any other tasks that you are required to do will be at the same level of responsibility and terms and conditions of employment.

You must be prepared to travel throughout the UK for partnerships meetings and events, and to work varying hours when it is required (you will get Time Off In Lieu when this is the case).

Main Responsibilities

·  To proactively account manage a number of long term, multi-channel corporate partnerships, worth in excess of £500,000, to maximise value for Breast Cancer Care

·  Deliver the income targets set for your partnership portfolio through accurate budget setting, reforecasting and management of income

·  Deliver excellent account management to partners and ensure all partners are thanked for any fundraising activity

·  Strategically develop and grow your partnerships through creating and delivering partnership development plans

·  Proactively identifying and developing any additional opportunities within your partnerships to provide income or added value for Breast Cancer Care

·  Meeting face-to-face with your corporate partners, building strong relationships at all levels within their businesses

·  Work collaboratively across the Corporate Partnerships team - sharing materials, resources case-studies and learnings to add value across the team

·  Build strong relationships internally at Breast Cancer Care, working effectively with other teams to help deliver all aspects of the partnerships

·  Update all key stakeholders in the partnership, on key activity

·  Maintain accurate records and ensure that the corporate partnerships database is kept up-to-date and accurate

·  To prepare and present proposals, reports and information as required.

·  To always seek to achieve best value and cost-effectiveness on behalf of the charity

·  To attend training sessions, conferences, meetings and staff meetings as required.

Person specification - Corporate Partnerships Officer / Key Account Manager

Essential Criteria:

Knowledge and Experience

·  Experience of managing strategic, long term, multi-channel charity-corporate partnerships worth over £250,000.

·  Track record of successfully delivering income and expenditure targets.

·  Experience of managing a variety of projects and multiple deadlines.

·  Experience of managing a wide range of partners and developing excellent working relationships.

·  Experience of contributing to budget setting and re-forecasts.

·  Experience of delivering outstanding customer care.

Skills/Personal Attributes

·  Passion for growing partnerships

·  Supporting of Breast Cancer Care’s vision and mission

·  Ability build rapport quickly and build strong relationships, including at a senior level with Directors and CEOs

·  Clear and persuasive writing and speaking skills including ability to adapt style to situation and audience

·  Excellent negotiating skills and the ability to inspire confidence in the organisation.

Desirable Criteria:

·  A good understanding of Corporate Social Responsibility policies

·  A willingness to work variable hours, with occasional weekend and evening work and to travel within the UK.

·  Educated to degree level or equivalent.
