Breakers FC Team Manager Responsibilities

Support Team Formation Meeting:

  • Support coach in drafting and printing team formation documents
  • Support team in understanding financial commitment
  • Support team in understanding team calendar commitments

Organize and Maintain Team Documents:

There are several documents that team managers should maintain and retain in a team binder.

This would include:

  • US CLUB Release Form
  • Birth Certificate
  • PSPL Cardiac/Concussion Form
  • Player Cards
  • US Club Cards
  • Player Pass Cards
  • Player Pass US Club Roster
  • Game Day Rosters
  • PSPL League Rules
  • Team’s Playing History

Facilitate Printing US CLUB Roster/Player Cards:

  • Establish a KYCK username and password.
  • Load player information and pictures into KYCK
  • Review and validate information for US CLUB Roster
  • Print player cards and laminate two copies – one for league check-in and one for players to carry

Player Passes:

  • Consult with coach for potential player passes. Contact respective managers and collect player cards and rosters required for player pass check-in.

Prepare for League Games:

  • Work with coach on rescheduling league games as needed
  • Check on home game referees
  • Print Game Day Sheets and US Club Roster(s)
  • Facilitate player passes
  • Call in Scores

Register Team for Tournaments:

  • Establish team login for required tournament web site registration platforms-

GOT SOCCER/DASH

  • Check team into tournaments
  • Carry a copy of tournament rules

Coordinate Team Travel:

  • For games/tournaments that require travel, managers should arrange team hotel blocks as close to the playing field as possible and with financial reason.
  • Arrange for coach’s reservations for travel

Team Communication:

  • Establish a consistent means of communicating with their team.
  • Respond to team emails within 24 hours
  • Develop and distribute a team contact sheet.
  • Maintain team’s PSPL web page

Team Bonding:

  • Coordinate with your coach team dinners during travel and other team bonding activities.

Support/Coordinate Team Supplies:

  • Support coach in with supplies – ball pump etc.
  • Work with parent volunteers in maintaining a team first aid kit

Communications:

  • Attend IEYSA Team Manager Meetings
  • Attend Breakers FC Team Manager Meetings
  • Review all emails from IEYSA and Breakers FC
