I.  Call to Order and introductions –Meeting called to order at 1:21 PM by Chairperson Barratt.

II.  Approvals of January 31, 2014 meeting minutes – Minutes for the January 31st meeting were reviewed. Mr. May moved to approve the minutes. Mr. Greene seconded. Motion carried.

III.  Action and/or Discussion of the following items:

Item A – Consider for approval funding recommendations for FY 2015 JAG Applications Mr Greene made a motion to approve funding of the FY 2015 JAG applications fully funded in the order they were ranked. Ms. Bracewell seconded. Motion carried with Mr. Patterson, Mr. May and Mr. Yezak abstaining.

Item B – Consider for approval funding recommendations for FY 2015 JJDP Applications Mr. Weedon made a motion to approve funding of the FY 2015 JJDP applications fully funded in the order they were ranked. Mr. Greene seconded. Motion carried with Ms. Barratt and Mr. Borski abstaining.

Item C – Consider for approval funding recommendations for FY 2015 GVA Applications Mr. Baletka made a motion to approve funding of the FY 2015 GVA applications fully funded in the order they were ranked. Ms. Bracewell seconded. Motion carried with Mr. Weedon abstaining.

Item D – Consider for approval funding recommendations for FY 2015 VCAW Applications Mr. May made a motion to approve funding of the FY 2015 VCAW applications fully funded in order they were ranked. Mr. Yezak seconded. Motion carried.

Item E – Consider for discussion re-appointments of Committee Members Ms. Hill informed the committee that reappointments for the CJAC will be requested from County Commissioners. Please let your commissioners know if you do or do not want to be on the committee or know someone who should be on the committee.

Item F – Consider for discussion Strategic Plan Initiatives Ms. Hill updated the committee on initiatives that are happening in the region regarding the tasks listed in the Strategic Plan. Law Enforcement Training Coordinators are meeting quarterly to discuss training needs and opportunities in the region. Agencies in Bryan and College Station work together to train their officers in house for required intermediate courses and often have spaces available that other agencies can use and send officers. Mr. Sheridan addressed the active shooter task and that not all schools want to participate in active shooter training even though training is available for free. Bryan PD does several classes and BVCOG has conducted training in Navasota PD. Mr. Sheridan informed the committee that we are going to do the things listed in the plan and not just put it on the shelf.
