Job Title:Commercial Manager

2.overall Purpose of role

To work as part of the Senior Management Team taking overall responsibility for the commercial aspects of our business.

This role requires a “hands on approach” during the initial period. As part of this role the post holder will be required to operate and manage the Buddy Service. There is also a necessity to review and implement new processes and systems making the organisation more efficient and profitable whilst keeping true to halow’s ethos and USPs.

It is envisaged that this role will develop, in line with the growth of the organisation. If successful, the post holder will, in time, take thestrategic lead on all commercial functions across the organisation, advising and supporting

the SMT and operations staff in this area.

3.Main responsibilities

To work in partnership with the Director and Development Manager to grow our business, responding to referrals and developments by devising and implementing consistent:

  • Procedures for staff planning, recruitment, selection and matching of Buddies, in conjunction with the Development Manager
  • Methods of placement and coordination of Buddies
  • Use of full time and Lead Buddies for the supervision and management of part time Buddies
  • Costing and charging processes
  • Contract and invoicing procedures
  • Appropriate data capture and reporting systems to meet CQC requirements
  • Process for ensuring compliance with all relevant health and social care legislation, most importantly CQC Outcomes
  • Becoming the Registered Manager for our regulated services
  • Procedures and processes in relation employment checks, personnel and employment law and the collection and storage of information relating to these areas
  • Data capture systems in relation to organisational output, business trends and growth forecasts
  • Health, safety and working practice policies and procedures
  • Systems for the use of resources including equipment, money and people

4. Core Responsibilities
  • To maintain confidentiality at all times except in the event of a safeguarding issue
  • To participate in regular supervisory sessions, appraisals and team meetings
  • To work as part of the team, maintaining clear accurate records and working relationships
