BPG Introduces New Award Winning Energy Saving Product at National Hardware Show

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; May 2010 – Byers Products Group (BPG) is introducing the innovative new energy saving product called Kleen-Screen™ at the National Hardware Show at the Las Vegas Convention Center May 4 – 6th 2010 in Booth #1837. Kleen-Screen™ an air conditioner condenser coil filtration system so unique it earned a U.S. Patent. Kleen-Screen™ is an energy conserving filter kit designed to keep home air conditioner condenser coils clean and running at their peak efficiency.

Kleen-Screen was devised to address the age-old problem of air conditioner condenser coils becoming clogged with cottonwood seed, dandelion, milkweed, insects, grass clippings, lint, pet hair, leaves, other foliage and airborne debris. These objects restrict the airflow through the coils and cause the compressor to run longer and work up to 30 percent harder. Clogged coils run up the electric bill, wasting precious energy while overtaxing the air conditioner compressor and shortening its life cycle causing unnecessarily early and costly replacement of the A/C condenser unit.

Thomas L. Byers and BPG are the recipient of the Journal Record’s Innovator Of The Year Award for Kleen-Screen™ and its contribution to energy conservation through proactive prevention of unnecessary energy waste resulting from clogged A/C coils. The award ceremonies were held on April 13th at the Skirvin Hotel in downtown Oklahoma City. Thomas Byers was in attendence to receive and accept the Innovator Of The Year Award for inventing the Kleen-Screen™.

Designed for easy installation, the Kleen-Screen™ comes in a kit that is custom fitted to each condenser unit and can be installed with only heavy-duty scissors or shears. The kit includes two magnetic tracks with adhesive, anti-static coated fiberglass mesh filter screen, two snap-on cover tracks and two nylon security straps with clips. The anti-static properties of the specially coated filter material allow most debris to slide right off each time the condenser fan cycles off. Any Debris that may accumulate on the Kleen-Screen™ can be removed easily with a soft brush or soft broom or by rinsing with a gentle wash spray.

BPG expects the demand to be great for this new eco-friendly product and it will be available in many hardware and home improvement stores beginning May 15th, 2010.
