BOYS BRONCO RULES

(11-12 YRS OLD)

1. A game may begin with 8 players with the 9th batter recorded as an out or however agreed upon by coaches in pre-game meeting. Teams with 7 players automatically forfeit. Game will still be played as scrimmage.

2. All players on the team will be put in a batting order and shall bat according to the order given to the scorekeeper prior to start of the game. In the event, a batter cannot appear at the plate, the batter will be recorded as an out. EXCEPTION: injury to a player

3. Free substitution (except pitcher) but player must play at least 2 innings in the field of every game. Each player will start every other game. If coaches do not comply with this rule they could be punished by removal from a team or as directed by the Board of Directors.

4. Pinch runners for pitchers and catchers will be allowed. Pinch runner will be the last recorded out.

5. Time limit is 1 hour and 45 minutes. (Unless otherwise specified by commissioner)

6. Forfeit time will be 10 minutes after the scheduled game time. EXCEPTION: First game overlaps the scheduled start time of the second game. Should this happen forfeit shall be 10 minutes after the umpire directs home team to take the field.

7. There will be a 6 run rule per inning. Mercy rule is in effect. 12 after 3, 10 after 4 and 8 after 5.

8. Teams may consist of up to 9 players in the field.

10. In the event of a tie, the game will be recorded as a ½ game win and a ½ lose for each team.

11. NO steel cleats are allowed.

12. Official game: If a game goes three complete innings, it will be an official game. This applies to Rainout games or any other game called due to weather.

13. Batting practices is allowed ONLY in batting cages with helmets on. The use of a netted safety device is allowed.

14. Coaches who violate rule #13 will receiveone verbal warning by the commissioner of the league or by a Board Member. Additional incidents could result in removal from a team, as directed appropriate by the Board of Directors.

16. Any coach ejected from a game, no matter the reason, will sit out the remainder of that game and the next complete game. And said ejection will be reviewed by the board of directors.

17. If a coach is directed by an umpire to quiet his or her parents/fans in the stands and does not, he will be ejected from the game and will sit out the remainder of that game and the next complete game.

18. There will be no substitutions from other teams.
