Reminder: STUDENTS ARE NOT PERMITTED TO BRING IN OR HAVE DELIVERED TO THEM FAST DOOD OR DRINK ITEMS DURNG SCHOOL HOURS. ALSO, CHECK-OUTS TO GO TO LUNCH ARE NOT PERMITTED AND WILL BE CONSIDERED UNEXCUSED AND SKIPPING SCHOOL (page 10 of the Student Handbook).
Early Dismissal Procedures: Only a parent/guardian or approved contact may check out a student, and this person MUST come into the school main office and sign out the student requesting an early dismissal. There will be NO telephone checkouts. (page 8 of the Student Handbook)
Reminder: Students need to turn in your Non-Traditional school day letter to the front office ASAP!
Student Z drives will be turned off on December 19th. Please make sure to move your documents to a new location prior to that date. Other options would be a jump drive, OneDrive or Google Drive.
Final Exam Schedule: Wednesday, December 17th will be 1st and 5th period Exams, Thursday, December 18th will be 2nd and 4th period exams, and Friday, December 19th will be 3rd and 6th period Exams.
Mrs. Michael will be here Friday if any Senior needs to pick up their Senior T-shirt!

The Quick Recall Team - 1st place overall The team consists of Josh Dyer, Sam Fluty, Taylor Whitsell, Wesley Wei, Michael Larson, Chance Naylor, Jackson King and Kate Leahey.
The next competition is atUK on January 17th.
On Thursday night the Boyle County FFA chapter participated in 2 regional competitions at UK. Kelsey Kendrick was the winner of the Job Interview contest and will participate in the state competition in June. The Agriculture Sales Team were also regional winners. Team members are Kaitlyn Elliott, Nikki Lanham, Ethan Ellis and Emma Nolan. The Ag Sales team will also participate in their state competition in June.
Mrs Goodpaster is taking orders for peanut butter pies that will be prepared by my culinary class at BCHS. The pies are frozen and can thaw when you are ready to eat . They are great to take to Christmas parties or family get-togethers. The pies are $10 and she will be taking orders until Dec. 12th. All pies will be ready to be picked up on Friday, Dec. 19th, but if you need it earlier she can make arrangements for it to be ready. Please email her or let her know if you are interested!
-Dress Code Reminders: (Handbook page-15)
Students’ pants: Must be free of any holes that expose the skin 2 inches above the knee. Holes that expose skin 2 inches above the knee are not acceptable. Items worn underneath the hole are not acceptable. Hats, hoods, bandannas, novelty wigs, etc. are not to be worn inside the building. Hats, sunglasses, heavy coats and gloves must be left in the school locker.
If a student wears clothing deemed to be in violation of the dress policies, the student is subject to the disciplinary measures stated herein. All building staff has the authority and is expected to indicate to students violations of the dress policy. If any student violates this code, he/she will be dealt with in the following manner: 1st offense - warning and a change of or correction in their apparel or sent home to change; 2nd offense - detention and sent home to change; 3rd offense - Friday School and change of or correction in apparel.
-Public Display of Affection: (Handbook-page 16) is not acceptable while at school. Violation of this policy shall result in the following: 1st offense - a warning; 2nd offense - Friday School plus parent notification; 3rd offense - out-of- school suspension; 4th offense - three days out- of-school suspension.

Math after school homework help is here! Boyle County High School students can take advantage of free Math homework help from 3:15-4:15 in room 205. This is a free service that will be provided every Monday through Thursday.
Reminder: Students are NOT allowed to back into parking spaces or pull through 2 spaces. You are to pull into your single spot ONLY! Students MUST have parking tag properly displayed!! Violators will be given tickets!

GUIDANCE
-Applications for the Kentucky governor's school for Entrepreneurs are due by Friday, Dec. 12. For more information, see your counselor.
-WKU will be offering 10 online courses for the spring semester. Interested students need to see their guidance counselor ASAP. Courses fill quickly. Students must sign agreement that course cannot be dropped after BCHS's scheduling deadline.
-Any students who are first generation college students that might be interested in Centre College, please see your guidance counselor regarding the Grissom Scholars program.
SENIORS
Seniors: Senior photos and Baby Rebel photosare due to Mr. Laymonby December 19th?
Senior: The Boyle County Yearbook needs your senior photos and senior quote. Each senior has space for three photos: Your main photo, which needs to be in portrait orientation, two smaller photos, one of which will be black and white (yearbook staff can you’re your photo black and white, if necessary). If you need senior photos taken for yearbook purposes, contact the yearbook staff and we can accommodate you. Senior quotes must be emailed along with the photos, and need to be 15 words or less. These items are due by Friday, December 19th. How To Submit: Email to , along with the student’s name. If you have any questions, contact Mr. Laymon, in Room 167, or any yearbook staff.
