“SIX TEXT CHALLENGE”

Book Report Challenge for the School Year

Possibly, more than anything else you do in English Language Arts this school year, it is important that you read. This challenge is to broaden your reading experience, which is why you have requirements to fill for each genre/type. At your age/grade level, your challenge is to read 6 novels under each genre listed below for the school year. For each book you read, you will complete a Book Report Outline and Reading Log Sheet. At the middle and end of the year, you are expected to turn in Book Report/Reading Log Sheets. As you go along the school year, you are able to choose which genre you would like to read in whatever order you choose.

  • Part 1:By January, you should have read three novels of any of the genres listed below. This means, THREE Book Report Outlines and ONEReading Log Sheet should be turned in to Miss Pollard. DUE TUESDAY, JANUARY 22 (Worth 115pts) NO LATE REPORTS!
  • Part 2:By May, you should have read three MORE novels of any of the genres listed below. This means, another THREE Book Report Outlines and one Reading Log Sheet should be turned in.DUE TUESDAY, MAY 28 (Worth 115pts) NO LATE REPORTS!
