Boise Cotillion Spring Prom

Thursday, April 15th, 2010

Welcome to Spring! Our Spring Prom will be an exciting event. We are pleased to hold our Prom at Hillcrest Country Club. This is the perfect venue for the elegance of our Spring Prom

The Spring Prom is our most formal evening for our Cotillion members. Young ladies tend to wear longer dresses, however short dresses are appropriate as well. Please feel comfortable wearing a dress from one of our previous Cotillions. Remember that Cotillion dress is conservative, so no midriffs, or dresses that are too revealing. Please remember your gloves, either short or long gloves are fine. Gentleman regular Cotillion wear, coat and tie are great! Some gentlemen rent tuxedos for the evening, though it certainly is not required.

Parents you might want to consider a corsage for your young lady (wrist or pin-on) and for the gentlemen a boutonniere. Nametags will not be needed at this event. If you are a parent of a 4th-5th grade member you may want to plan a special dinner at home or dining out for your son or daughter, or a group of friends. This is a wonderful opportunity to practice table manners. When they enter the Teen Cotillion (6th-9th) a dining experience with manners instruction is offered.

The Teen Cotillion (grades 6th-9th) are offered a dining experience at Hillcrest Country Club in the beautiful private dining room. This is an optional event. The cost is $30.00 payable to Hillcrest Country Club. Dining etiquette will be taught. See the attached information for details. You must respond in an email or phone call to reserve the dining option by April 12th. Email: or 342-7895

Our Spring Prom is also the night of Cotillion photos. The photos will be taken by a professional photography studio. We will take a 5x7 individual shot, as well as a group photo. The photographs were paid for with your Cotillion membership. We will take the group shot prior to the start of Cotillion. Please be on time or you will miss the group photo opportunity. During the Cotillion members will be excused to have their individual photos taken. Cotillion photos will be mailed directly to your home.

Parents are invited to come and dance with their son or daughter the last 15 minutes. Moms are invited for boys, Dads are invited for girls or you may choose a family friend or age appropriate sibling. Of course, both parents are welcome to come and either participate or just enjoy watching. We are aware that not every Cotillion member may be able, or wish to have a parent or friend come to dance. We do make accommodations for this, so all Cotillion members enjoy our last few dances of the Season. We are guests at the country club, and the following dress code is requested of all guests: Men need to wear a jacket and tie, and Ladies a dress. This is appropriate, as your Cotillion member is dressed in this attire as well. We are only allowed to use the club facilities where the Cotillion is being held. The bar and dining room are not open to the public. Please follow the instructions for entry to where the Cotillion is being held.

It is hard to believe that we are nearing the end of the Cotillion Season. It has been a pleasure having such a wonderful group of young ladies and gentlemen. Thanks to all of the parents for helping to get your child to Cotillion on time, and well dressed for the occasion! I hope they have enjoyed Cotillion! You will automatically receive an invitation for next years Season. I am looking forward to this wonderful evening!
