Board of Secondary Education Rajasthan, Ajmer was established in 1957. The Board conducts class X and XII examination in the month of March-April. The Board also conducts the following examinations:
a) Class VIII optional Exam; b) RTET (REET); c) NTSE; d) SSTSE; and e) STSE.
The Board undertakes analysis of the results and awards the schools giving good results. In the year 2014, 11,04,326 candidates appeared for class X examination and 6,88,120 candidates appeared for class XII. The pass percentage in 2014 for class XII was under: Science-78.94%, Commerce-88.60%, Arts-79.60%. In the year 2014, the Board had fixed 5110 centres for class X/XII examinations. The Board has adopted the following best practices:
a) Online application form; b) Online admit card and related process.
There are 25,642 schools affiliated at secondary level and 9,241 schools at Sr. Secondary level. The centres are fixed in Pucca Buildings and Question papers are stored in nearby police station. Results are declared in terms of marks and the Board has provision for Re-checking and photocopies are provided on payment of prescribed fee. The work of computerization of records has been completed for the last forty years.

The officers in-charge are instructed to send the answer books to different Evaluation Zones situated in different districts in the State. The coding officer in the evaluation zone has to detach the information part of the OMR, before issuing the answer books to the examiners. Examiners cannot know any information about the candidate with the Bar coded OMR only. / The Board has introduced computerization in the maintenance of old permanent records and has completed computerization for the last 04 years / Attaching OMR sheet with BAR code to the answer booklets has been introduced from HSLC/AHM examination 2015
Board of Secondary Education, Assam was established in 1962. The Board conducts class X examination in the month of Feb/Mar. In the year 2014, 369075 candidates appeared for class X examination and pass percentage was 61.42. There are 6059 schools affiliated to the Board and the Board had fixed 834 centres in the year 2014. Central Board of Secondary Education was established initially as the Board of High School and Intermediate Education of Rajputana vide Govt. Resolution No.F.11-R.28 dt. 1/07/1929.

The Board is appointing a professor serving or retired as a chief secrecy officer. He is supported by a number of secrecy officers. The CSO creates a series of number in the form of bar-code which are printed on the answer books and flying slip. The Board also conducts the following examinations: 1) AIPMT 2) JEE main; 3) CTET; 4) NET and 5)JNVST admission test. There are more than 15000 schools affiliated to the Board and 3041 centres were fixed in 2014. 13,28,380 candidates appeared for class X examination and 10,15,935 candidates for class XII examination in 2014 respectively. The centres of examination are fixed in Pucca buildings and the Question papers are stored in Nationalized Banks and wherever Banks are not available, Question papers are stored in Govt. treasury or Police station. The results for class X are declared in terms of grades only and for class XII the results are declared in terms of only Marks. At class X level, CBSE has introduced CCE scheme and the examinations are conducted at school level as well as Board level as per the choice of the school. The following are best practices/innovations/examination reforms have been undertaken by the Board:
1) Bar codes have been implemented for secrecy at both class X and XII level.
2) Introduction of on-screen marking at class X level.
3) Introduction of the conduct of Problem Solving Assessment (PSA) and SGAI for better assessments of the students.
4) In addition to verification, provision of providing photocopy, provision of re-evaluation has also been made on payment of Rs.100 per question.
5) In 2014, the pass percentage at Secondary level was 98.87 and at Senior Secondary level the pass percentage was 82.70.
