Theseconditions,togetherwiththeformofapplicationtohireBluesciaccommodation,the conditional confirmationofbookingandthereceiptedaccountforthehire,shallconstitutethecontractbetween

Bluesciandthehirer(s)

1.Application

Allapplicationsforthehireofthepremisesmustbeontheformprovidedandsubjecttoclause2below thepersonsigningtheapplicationshallbedeemedtobethehirer(s).Bluescireservetherighttorefuse anyapplicationwithoutexplanation.

2.CapacityofHirer

PersonsapplyingtohireBluesciaccommodationonbehalfofunincorporatedassociations(e.g.clubsandsocieties),firmsandcompaniesshall:‐

• Disclosethatfactontheapplicationformandindicatethenameoftheassociation,firmorcompany anditsprincipalplaceofbusinessor(inthecaseofcompanies)itsregisteredoffice;Bedeemedtohaveauthoritytoenterintothiscontractonbehalfoftheassociation,firmor companyandtobinditorasthecasemaybeitspartners,membersandofficers.

3.Payment

If requested twenty-fivepercentofthecharges,bywayofdepositshallbedueandpayableonreceiptof

The confirmationformandifthechargesarenotsopaid,thelettingmayatanytimebedeclaredvoid

andthe premisesmaybere-lettoanyotherpersonbyBluesci.Thebalanceofthechargesisdue and

payable twenty-eight daysbefore the dateofthehireandwherethereismorethanonefunction,then

beforethe firstofthosefunctions.Ifthebalanceofthechargesisnotpaid,thelettingmayatanytime

bedeclaredvoidandthepremisesmayberelettoanyotherpersonbyBluesci.Bluescimayrevise

thechargesatany timewithoutnotice.Thehireismadeontheunderstandingthatanyincreaseor

decreaseinchargesbefore thefunctiondatewillbepaidbythehirerorallowedbyBluescias

appropriate.Admittancetothepremises isonlypermittedonproductionofafullyreceiptedaccountforhire.

4.ElectricalEquipment

Allportableelectricalmusthaveacurrentelectricaltestcertificateforusewithinthebuilding.Acopyofthe certificatemustbehandedtostaffatthecommencementofthefunction.

5.SeatingCapacityandequipment

Themaximumnumberofpersonstobeadmittedandconditionsofaccessandegress,ifapplicable

shouldbe suppliedtoBluesciatleastsevendayspriortothedateofthehire.Thehirermustensurethat

attendees do notexceedthestipulatedfiguresatanytimeduringthehire.Gangwaysmustnotbe

interferedwithinthe interestsofpublicsafety.Entrances,exits,corridorsandpassagewaysmustbe

keptclearofobstructions.Seating,lighting,andotherrequirementsshouldbespecifiedatthetime

ofthebooking.Noresponsibility willbeacceptedbyBluescishouldthehirerfailtodoso.Thehireris

responsibleforequipmentinor broughttothepremises. Bluesciwillnotacceptliabilityforanylossor

damageattributableorarisingoutof thepresence,useorconditionofsuchequipment.Storage

facilitiesforthehirersownequipmentwillnotbeprovidedbyBluesci.

6.CancellationbyBluesci

Bluescireservetherighttocancelanyhireatanytimewithoutnoticeandwithoutassigninganyreason.As muchnoticeaspossiblewillbegiven.Insuchcircumstances,Bluescicanacceptnoliabilityforloss

Incurred asaresultofsuchcancellationbutundertaketorefundanypaymentmadeor would endeavour

torearrange anybooking.Bluescireservetherighttocensorandcancelwithoutliabilityorlossincurred

asaresultofsuchcensorship orcancellationanyplay,sketch,lectureoranyotherperformanceorevent

7.CancellationbythehirerIntheeventofthehirer(s)wishingtocancelthebooking

There willbenochargeifthecancellationismore than28daysfromthebookingdate.Iflessthan28

daysnoticeisgivenbythehirer(s),then25%ofthechargewillstillapply.Allcancellationsmustbe

giveninwriting.

8.Refusalofadmission

Bluescireservetherighttorefuseadmissionofanypersontothepremisesandtorequireanypersonto

leavethepremisesuponrequestbyanauthorisedemployeeoragentofBluesci.

9.PerformingRights

Nocopyrightdramaticormusicalworkcanbeperformedunlessthelicenceoftheownerofthecopyrightis producedtoBluescibeforethehiring.Thechargesinclude(whereapplicable)allpaymentsinrespect

ofthehirer(s)liabilityundertheCopyrightActs.Thehirer(s)shallindemnifyBluesciagainstany

infringementofcopyrightwhichmayoccurduringthehiring.

10.Indemnityandinsurance

Thehirer(s)agree(s)toindemnifyBluesciagainstactions,proceedings,claims,damages,awardsorcosts

In respectofloss,damage,deathorpersonalinjuryoccurringduringtheperiodofhire theindemnity

mustbecoveredby£5,000,000PublicLiabilityinsurance.

11.Damagetothepremises

Itisthehirer(s)responsibilitytoprotectthepremisesduringaperiodofhire.Ifanydamageoccursorissustainedduringaperiodofhire(otherthandamageordestructionwhichintheopinionofBluescicould notreasonablyhavebeenprevented)thehirer(s)shallforthwithindemnifyBluesciagainstthesameand

in particularbutwithoutprejudicetotheforegoing; ‐

• Thehirer(s)shallensurethatnonails,screws,etc.aredrivenintoanypartofthepremises
• Thepremisesmustbeleftinacleanandtidycondition.Anyequipmentused(subjectto

permission)must bereturnedtoitsoriginalposition

• Bluescireservetherighttoapplyadditionalhirerchargesintheeventofthevenuenotbeingleftinacleanandtidycondition.

12.Preservationoforder

Thehirer(s)shallnotpermitanydrunkanddisorderlyconducttotakeplaceonthepremises.

Nounlawfulgamingshalltakeplaceonthepremisesandthedistributionofcashprizesorany announcementthereofisstrictlyprohibited.

AccesstoPoliceandBluesci

BluescireservestherightofentrytothepremisesatanytimeduringthehiringfortheManager

andother authorisedemployeesoragentsofBluesciandPoliceOfficerswhoshallhavefull

powertoenforcethese conditionsandpreservepeaceandgoodorder.

13.Advertisements

ExceptwithpriorwrittenconsentofBluesci;‐

• Noadvertisingofacommercialnatureshallbepermittedatthepremises
• Noadvertisingmattershallbeplacedontheexteriorofthepremisesexceptonthedayofthe

eventandinanycase,advertisingonlytheeventwhichistakingplace,approvedbyBluesci

andmustberemoved immediatelyaftertheevent.

• Thehirer(s)shouldbeforepublishing,distributingorexhibitingthesamesubmittoBluescifor

approvala copyofallnoticesandticketstobeusedinconnectionwiththehiring.

14.CompliancewithBluesci’srequirements

Thehirer(s)mustcomplywithanyrequirementimposedbyBluesciinwritingtopreventdamagetothe

premises,disturbancetoresidentsorforanyotherreason.Thisagreementmayrelatetomorethanone hiring.Ifthisrequirementisnotobservedunderthisclause,ontheoccasionofanyothersuchhiring,

Bluescican reviewandifnecessaryrefuseanyhiringwhichhasnotyettakenplace,withoutpaying

compensationtothe hirer.

15.Exclusionclause

Inadditiontoanymatterorthingliabilityforwhichisexcludedorrestrictedbyanyothercondition,

Bluesci isnotresponsiblefor;AnyarticlebroughtontoorleftinanypartofthepremisesTheft,lossor

damagetoanyvehiclesparkedinanycarparkprovided.

16.CarParking

Itisthehirer(s)responsibilitytoensurethatpeopleattendingthepremisescomplywithBluesci’s

Conditions forcarparkingtoensurethatsuchpeopleparkinaconsideratematterwithoutcausing

inconvenienceto others.(ifapplicable)–notallvenuehavetheirowncarparkattached.

17.AgreementasContractualonly

NopartofthecontractbetweenBluesciandthehirer(s)shallcreateanyrightofpropertyandthe

interestof thehirer(s)inthepremisesisacontractuallicenseeonly.

18)meetingrooms

Ifbookingameetingroomwithinameetingroom,pleasebeawarethatitthehirersresponsibilitytosetup andclearaway.Tablesandchairsareprovidedwithintheroomandthisspacemustbeleftasfound.

19)FeesandCharges

Bluescireservetherighttoreviewthehirechargesonanannualbasis.
