PUPPY QUESTIONNAIRE
BlueRain Aussies strives to place every puppy in the right home. To do this, we feel that we need more information on all prospective buyer(s), this is not only for the puppy’s best interest but also yours. Please complete the below questionnaire if you are interested in a puppy. Please note that we sell to approved homes only. We do require a NON-REFUNDABLE deposit of $250.00 to go toward the puppy. We will let you know if you have been approved.

How did you learn of BlueRain Aussies?
Does anyone in your household have allergies to dogs?
Do you own or rent? If renting does the landlord allow dogs? Are you willing to send a few pictures of where the puppy will be living?
Do you have a fenced in yard? If no, how do you plan to contain your puppy? How will you provide exercise for your puppy?
Where will your puppy be kept during the day and night? When you are gone?
How many hours a day will the puppy be left alone? What is the profession of each adult in the household?
What type of life are you planning for your puppy to have?
Do you plan to participate in Conformation, Obedience, Rally, Agility, Therapy, Herding or Companion Only?
Are you willing to take the puppy to at least one puppy or obedience class? Early socialization and training are critical to the proper mental development of this breed.
Do you have other pets? Do they get along with other dogs? Please list (Name, Breed, Age, Sex, Spayed/Neutered?)
Have you ever owned an Aussie? Why do you want an Aussie? Have you read the breed standards?
If you have had dogs in the past, what happened to them?

Are you familiar with how to groom your Aussie properly for his/her health, comfort and appearance? Do you have time to brush and trim the puppy’s nails at least twice a month? Aussies do a major shed once or twice a year, can you deal with the dog hair? They do shed. They are not meant to be a breed that is shaved. (We are happy to help you J )
How do you feel about vaccines for your puppy?
Gender and color preference? Why?
Will you consider a puppy of another sex or color if your preference is not available?

Again a deposit is required to guarantee a puppy will be reserved for you when they are born. Regarding your deposit, first come does not necessarily get first pick. Because we feel that you are adopting one of our family members, it is important to us that you and your puppy are perfectly matched for a lifetime of happiness. The cutest puppy in photos isn’t necessarily the best puppy for your family. Matching our puppies to the right families is the most difficult but rewarding task we have. We take our puppy matching very seriously, and we will always make the final judgement on what puppies go to which families.
