BLUEMONT CITIZENS’ ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP

The Bluemont Citizens’ Association Scholarship Program is designed to help young Bluemont citizens pursue their education beyond high school by providing a modest financial grant. This award is in recognition of the students’ contributions towards our community and the importance of education.
To be eligible, a candidate must meet the following criteria:
- Be a resident of Bluemont (having a 20135 zip code or having/being eligible for a 554 telephone exchange)
- Be entering a post-secondary educational institution (including a college or university, or technical or trade school)
- Have participated in community service, with priority given to service in Bluemont (e.g., the Bluemont Fair, the Community Center, Keep Loudoun Beautiful events, other periodic Bluemont cleanups, and other community service activities)
The following two-page application must be completed in full. The application should be delivered to the high school guidance office by April 4, 2018.
Successful candidates will be notified by phone or email, and awards will be presented at the annual Spring Fling Bluemont picnic as well as at the high school award ceremony. The money will be sent directly to the school or program the recipient will be attending.
